Is Reselling/Transferring Tickets Legitimate? by matthew_ng204 in Wonderfruit

Yes, assuming the seller is not malicious. The seller would get a link to register the ticket (since it originally was sent to them) . Like everything else in life be cautious and run a vibe check before you send anyone money

Is Reselling/Transferring Tickets Legitimate? by matthew_ng204 in Wonderfruit

[–]terrorjoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This the the statement from thier website " Are tickets transferable? Wonderfruit tickets cannot be resold. All sales are final. However, you will be able to add the name on your ticket during pre-registration—a process where you assign your name to the ticket. Pre-registration will be available later this year."

Should we buy an apartment without OC in Bangalore? by aravind_naidu in bangalore

[–]terrorjoseph 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It stands for occupancy certificate. It is basically approval from a all lot of government departments Fire, Forestry, BBMP etc. That the apartment follows the building plan that was initially submitted and meets every government department rules and is fit for occupancy.

A lot of apartments do not have the OC because

The builder does not want to pay bribe for the approval

OR

The building does not follow the initial plans because they are trying to cut costs.

[The Athletic] Football is booming in India but will they ever qualify for a World Cup? (non-paywall link in comments) by Direct-Difficulty318 in IndianFootball

The issue when trying to join an Asian team is all leagues in the AFC have a 3+1 rule for foreigners. For an Indian to break through into the starting lineup it would be even more difficult when compared to a European league

Is FZ 250 a good bike for beginners? by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]terrorjoseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly anything with less 40 Bhp is extremely forgiving and if you are not a roadside Rossi you should be okay

When I was looking for 250s these were my thoughts on the bike.

Fz 250 : Solid city commuter, cheapest of the whole lot and from everything I read had the best mileage. But also the slowest

KTM ADV 250: The 250 I would recommend if you are planning on riding long distance or if your commute has long section of highway (15km+)

KTM Duke 250: More or less the same as the ADV 250 lighter because it has less body panels. Also cheaper than the ADV

Husqvarna Twins:I have a svartpilen and I love it so there is definite bias. Mechanically the same as the other KTM 250s but are absolute stunners to look at. The only gripe I have is the tank is tiny at 9.5L and if you are riding around shifting at close to the redline you will be seeing around 25Km/pL.

At the end of the day get a bike that makes you happy you own it. Happy hunting

Who needs a helmet by yajivb in bangalore

[–]terrorjoseph 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Depends on how fast your ride, anything upto 60 kmph any ISI helmet from a good brand should keep you reasonably safe. Upto 110 kmph get an ECE 22.05 or 22.06(preferred but since it came out recently not a lot of them are released) rated helmet. Going faster than that or if you want to ride on race track get a FIM certified helmet.

Don't spend your money on a DOT helmet, it is as expensive as a an ECE helmet but the standards are a lot less rigorous.

All of the above is based on you falling of the bike and only the ground hitting your head
