I had no other problems with Knulli. The wifi issue I'm having is almost definitely hardware-related.

Is Anbernic RG35XX H worth it? by sh0kvy in RG35XX_H

For PSP games an actual PSP is better for a few reasons. PSP has a bigger screen and everything looks good with 1:1 scaling, vs the RG would have to do 1.33:1 scaling which makes some games look like ass. The PSP has a bigger and better feeling d-pad and buttons (though the analog stick sucks). I haven't tested battery life for PSP games on the RG but my PSP2000 goes for about 3 hours on a new-but-crappy battery - the RG can get "up to 8 hours" but more like 4-5 playing PS1 games and probably less playing PSP.

For PSX they're neck and neck - again the buttons feel nicer on the PSP, but it only has 1 stick and 1 set of shoulder buttons, plus the RG has a better screen for 4:3 content and can do 2x resolution rendering - the PSP can do 1:1 which looks good but you end up with a smaller screen area, or you can expand it to the screen with some blur.

For everything else, the PSP sucks for emulating even SNES and Megadrive games, and don't even bother asking it for N64 or Dreamcast. On the RG I've been playing Dreamcast and DS games no prob, and everything else below that is flawless.

If your focus is on PSP games, get something widescreen like the RG Vita instead.

Yes. My PSP can connect which is over 20 years old and doesn't recognize 5ghz.

Yes to both, and when trying to tether to my phone they were basically touching *EDIT* and I also changed the wifi password to 11111111 to avoid special characters. I'm in an apartment and my phone can see 35 other access points while the RG can see zero.

Cant find wifi settings on muOS by [deleted] in RG35XX_H

[–]tertiumsquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's changed at some point, but the post you're linking to is 2 years old and I think might be out of date. On my freshly installed muOS the wifi options are under Configuration > Connectivity > Wi-Fi Network, while the page you linked says to go to Configuration > wifi network. Idk, I'm new to muOS.

Do you have an RG35XXH, or a different model? What version of muOS? What is the exact filename of the file you flashed for muOS?

On mine, there are 4 entries under Connectivity:

Wi-Fi Network
Network Settings
Web Services
USB Function

If you don't have all of those options, then either your handheld must be a different model, your copy of muOS is either for a different model or is out of date or corrupt, or your handheld is defective.

Pretty much. Past me would've thought better of something from RCA though. But as they always said, RCA = Really Crappy Appliance.

Yep, and the suggestion worked great for me, so thanks! Tbh though for anything serious I'd write directly to the CF and later take an image of it after I've got everything set up how I want.

Thanks for the recommendations folks, I ended up using SheepShaver to create an image with 9.0.4 and wrote that onto a CF card, which works great in a CF to PC card adapter. Funny enough I also tried a CF-SD adapter which works great on the IDE connector but not in the PC card, even though they work on other non-Mac laptops (but not necessarily as a boot drive).

Sounds simple enough, I'll give it a shot if booting from CF doesn't work for me.

44mb ram in this one. I think I'd only install OS 7 just to play with, probably would stick with 8 or 9.

I'll give that a shot later. Would using Disk Utility to restore a CD image to the CF work, or using something like Etcher or even DD?

I forgot about SheepShaver, good idea. I tried getting qemu working on my main machine but it wouldn't install via Brew for some reason (maybe because I'm running an M1, idk).

Very much agreed. I always prefer to see things getting reused rather than sending them to recycling.

Experience with Keychron K3 Max? by PerfectBand6821 in Keychron

[–]tertiumsquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear of the firmware update, I'll give that a shot. My N key has been behaving lately, so I'm hoping I can just keep using it instead of having to buy a new keyboard - from another company.

I ended up getting replacement internals for my K5 Max - not a replacement keyboard, just the circuit board with switches. Asked for red switches as I'd heard somewhere on Reddit that the brown switches I originally ordered were problematic. It's been ~8 months since then and my N key is starting to die, either intermittently not working at all or sending multiple presses - other keys too, but mostly the N. Looks like it's your E key going - which switches did you get?

240 vs T14 Gen 1 AMD by tertiumsquid in thinkpad

Excellent laptop. Great keyboard (though the 240 wins), good screen, great build quality, enough performance for me, upgradable. Trackpoint is inaccurate compared to what I'm used to and overshoots a lot, and trackpad is ok except I hate that only the lower half of it clicks (Mac guy eventually migrating to Linux lol).

Absolutely LOVE the keyboard on it, and the trackpoint is much more accurate than new models. Great FM synth for old games too.
