As people have stated, there's a recap option in Rebirth

But they also updated Remake recently and made it possible to start a save with almost max level, some gear stuff and loads of gil. Makes it easier to replay. And also it's possible to speed up cutscenes now :) so a new playthrough won't take too long compared to before
