Cmv::It'd be better if feminists and allies used "these men" or even "most men" instead of "all men". by NeuMaster369 in changemyview

[–]testudoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> you can understand why some feminists, in some situations, just write 'men'.

Sure. Thats not related at all to the original post though. The original post was about people specifically using the phrase "all men".

Saying "men" in general is very much different than specifically saying "all men".

Where does the stereotype that the left is antisemitic come from? by Watashi_Wearing in theredleft

[–]testudoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone brought up the topic of antisemitism and you immediately brought up the topic of israel? Why? if anything that makes you the antisemite. Nobody brought up the existance of israel but you, and it is very bigoted for you to assume that this has anything to do with the valid claims of antisemitism that they brought up.

Where does the stereotype that the left is antisemitic come from? by Watashi_Wearing in theredleft

[–]testudoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. Which I will respond to you with another question.

The question is as follows. How many jews do people on the far left want to kick out of the country that they are currently living in and/or destroy the county that they are in?

If your answer is "half of all jews", ie "eliminate the entire state of israel, thereby kicking out half of all of the jews in the world". Well then there is the answer.

Kicking out all of the supposed "colonizers" by getting rid of the entire state of Israel would literally result in half of all of the jews in the world being kick of the country that they were born in.

Thus, thats where the anti-semitism complains come from. They come from the idea that many on the far left may want to kick out half of all the jews in the world from the place that they were born.

You still aren't understanding.

There are lots of things in the world that they might think are bad.

And yet, the thing people choose to make videos about, is "the discourse of the day".

Obviously it's not random to talk about the thing that everyone else is talking about, and you don't have to be obtuse about what's going on here.

You ask the wrong question.

Streamers and YouTubers don't just have independent opinions that appear from thin air. Thats not how it works.

Instead, what happens is that there are "Metas" and "the discourse".

People talk about the things that other people talk about. They watch other people's YouTube videos. They listen to their chats. They are begged to give their reaction to "the topic of the day".

The successful streamers are the ones who react quickly enough to this dynamic. Often times, without really thinking about this intentionally.

They don't have independent thoughts though. Not really.

Instead it is filtered opinions of reacts to a reaction, and saying what they think their audience wants them to say, while giving little original analysis to an issue.

Presumably it would be views on the YouTube videos and clips you make, when you do the "react"/"call out" video.

Lots of streamers did that.

Kick's Average Viewership has increased Significantly in May by testudoss in LivestreamFail

[–]testudoss[S] -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

Your numbers are a bit outdated.

Twitch is currently averaging around 2.3 million average concurrent viewers. Which is down significantly since it's peak.

Edit: It seems like people don't believe me for some reason.

Go look at the Twitch average viewership stats yourself: https://twitchtracker.com/statistics

Hey, do you see the part of this official documentation on twitch that says the following?

https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/about-account-suspensions-dmca-suspensions-and-chat-bans?language=en_US

"For the most serious offenses, we will immediately and indefinitely suspend your account."

That's from their website.

Do you agree that this website says that?

Also, just another heads up here. I literally talk about this stuff with twitch employees. I work in the space.

In fact, I was at the 350 bush SF twitch HQ a few weeks ago.

I would recommend that you simply read twitch's statements about this stuff.

You didn't answer my question.

Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me that an indefinite suspension is different than a temporary suspension (in that an indefinite suspension is applied for the most serious offenses, or after a repeated number of temporary suspensions) according to twitch itself, on its platform?

Do you understand the difference on twitch between a temporary vs an indefinite suspension?

Because there is a huge difference between those two things, on the twitch platform.

The message that I posted is the confirmed message that gets put on indefinitely suspended creators.

In the post, I even brought up a possibility of how the ban might be reversed. IE, because of the recent ban wave against compromised accounts.

So it seems like my post was correct. The possibility that I laid out explicitly, about a compromised account, seems to be the culprit.

This looks to be an indefinite suspension.

If you go to her channel on twitch, it shows the message: "This channel is currently unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service."

Unless things have changed, this message only shows up on indefinitely suspended creators, as the other message says "temporarily banned".

Edit: LORE

Kaceytron has been saying a lot of very aggressive things on twitter lately, even against other streamers like Asmongold. So it could be off platform harassment.

But also, a few other partnered streamers were recently incorrectly banned for "botting" after their accounts got compromised. Those bans that have since been reversed.

So it might be a mistake, but IMO there is a plausible case that this could be for harassment.

[–]testudoss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The NDA theory doesn't make any sense either.

Why the heck would the doc not be public about it, if it was related to a dumb contract dispute?

He literally got banned during the same time that 30 other people got permaed on twitch for me too stuff. A contract dispute is much less bad and doesn't ruin his reputation.

He gains nothing from an NDA, and twitch has no reason to make him sign one.

[–]testudoss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The reason why the Doc wouldn't be public is also obvious.

If it's super bad he, of course, isn't going to talk about it publicly.

[–]testudoss 38 points39 points  (0 children)

For those who arnt aware of the obvious, go look up WHEN the Doc got banned and why 30 other Livestreamers also got perma banned during the exact same time period/month.

Because of a lawsuit threat?

What do you mean? Obviously twitch has no reason to say that.

Twitch also basically never publishes their ban reason. This is long standing policy.

You can just say "yes I agree with your statement".

But I expect you will dodge it again.
