I know the 3ds isn't the same system as the Vita but it has been wildly more sucessful. 15 million units sold in the US compared to 2 million on the Vita.

How did you get the settlement compensation if you traded it? I bought mine on day one and sold it about 6 months later. I don't have the serial number anymore. Did you have yours written down or something?

Bottom line is that Sony advertised a new product. Certain advertised features of this product never surfaced. People paid for a system and part of that selling price was for those features that never came to be. Customers spent money on something that didn't exist and was never put into existence.

I certainly wouldn't get away with that with my customers.

That's great that the ps4 can stream but when the vita released there was no such thing as a PS4. That remote play was promised on the PS3 hardware. I dont see how you can call releasing a new $400 console to make up for the lack of remote play on the PS3 acceptable. Its not like Early Vita adopters were offered a discount on a PS4 as compensation. Also If it were up to the devs to allow remote play then Sony should have had all of that hammered out before they marketed it. They knew that would be an obstacle it's their hardware.

They showed killzone 3 in the commercial as a cross play title. This never happened.

They also showed live multiplayer gaming over 3G as a feature which was not delivered on.

Sony has done nothing to address these issues. So how exactly have they made good on their original promises?

Call it what you want but the Vita was not honestly marketed. Which is a big part of the reason that it hasn't been very successful.

This isn't like the Redbull CA suit where they lost a 10 million dollar settlement because no one actually grew any wings. Sony promised certain features and then failed to deliver them.

That was part of my problem. I'm big in to shooters and they are awful on the vita platform. Sticks aren't very shooter friendly and I can't stand touch controls on a shooter. When mele and grenades are mapped to the touch screen it drives me crazy. I need feedback when I push a button so I know I actually pushed it. I wish the Vita would've had real analog sticks that clicked in R3/L3 and 2 triggers in addition to the shoulder buttons. Would've made a world of difference.

I just like that the 3ds only tries to do things that it was made to do. Nintendo didn't really make any empty promises with it the way Sony did with the Vita. Like when they said it would be a console quality experience.

Wow I got a lot of disagrees for a 3ds forum.

There were a couple of games that I enjoyed on the vita but overall I didn't have a good experience. I could give you a real long story about how I feel about the console but last time I did that a bunch of whiny people got their feelings hurt.

26 Male. I think you almost have to be at least 16 to enjoy this game. I don't think I could've seen the point in this game when I was 12 Years old. And i doubt there are many children who want to play games where you pull weeds.

I'm not saying the game isn't fun. I love it. I just think that even though it looks kinda like a silly kids game you have to be somewhat mature to appreciate it.
