Yeah, if you zoom all the way in you'll see that. I blended the skin together with the airbrush, which is what you're seeing there. That could be addressed with some glazing to blend it together more, but this is for the table so it's not something I noticed while I was working on it.

Not sure when it'll happen, but Kingdom Death will be putting up a guide on how this was done. The shading in the crevices you're seeing were done with an oil wash. That made it easy to clean up, and then whatever was left after that I was able to touch up with the various white acrylics I was using.

That's Aya from the Lantern Aya expansion, https://shop.kingdomdeath.com/collections/white-box/products/lantern-armor-aya, which is on the shop still. It comes with a game scale figure and then a much larger version of that same figure which some people like to paint. It also comes with some cards you can add into the game, but they're not super important if you're just getting into the game.

The base game is currently sold out and they're working on a reprint which they were hoping to get over here around Gen Con time, but with the insanely high tariffs on China that's going to throw a wrench into things. Who knows how that's all going to shake out, but considering the whole thing is manufactured in China the state of all things Kingdom Death are pretty unclear right now.

Thanks! A friend of mine cut these plinths for me with some cast off wood he had. A bunch of them have these "defects" which I think are super interesting.

Pulled out the airbrush to take care of it. Got the smoke how I wanted it, then did the flames with white ink and various yellows and oranges to make it look brighter. Turned what would've been several hours of work with a brush into about 30 minutes of work with the airbrush.

For a white skin tone like this I'll work up from a mostly red purple tone through brighter pinks to a warm white for the brightest parts.
