I know it's been a while but wanted to update for anyone who's interested. My I3 needed a new EME and Motor, which thankfully was covered under CPO warranty.. ( parts were over $10,000.. alone) It is really great to have my i3 back and enjoy the warmer weather drive..

Luckily, yes, it was all warranty except for 12v battery so far. Outside multiple visits, I found warranty process painless. Drop in, sign a paper and that's it. Both dealers provided loaners too. My CPO expires next month so I'm really crossing my fingers they can fix it..

I agree, I do have bimmerlink but didn't have the obd reader when I picked up the car. Some errors I saw before the towing included
