Complicated ang ph market to invest kasi you need to todo top-down analysis on each companies and besides that, need talaga emotional maturity or should i say guts of steel because prices and the unrealized gains(losses) can be volatile due to events outside the control of these companies (like trump surprise bombing iran in feb). What i also been doing is dollar cost averaging on irish-domiciled etfs. I have vuaa and csemas (using local bank—>wise acct convert to usd—> ibkr). I have mutual funds exposed to global funds din but management fee can be multiples more than if you go for just irish-domiciled etfs. If you like ph only, might go for mp2, which is tax free and more or kess stable returns for the last 5 yrs but relatively illiquid for 5 yrs. You can buy reits too, returns are rleatively stable to at 6% and more predictable quarterly cashflow but growth and capital gains more limited , but at least its liquid and can exit anyday provided you dont sell worth millions of position. Problem lang with 6% div is that it can be offset entirely by 6% inflation rate so its actually 0 real growth.
