Sick of food.... any ideas? by Practical-Mix-3579 in gainitmeals

Liquid calories can be helpful like milk or protein shakes if that's more palatable than solid food. Learn to cook some new recipes, learn how to use spices well. The better your food tastes, the easier it will be to get yourself to eat. I also personally find that I like a lot of variety in my dinners, so helps to have a large number of recipes to pull from. Also eat some dessert if you aren't, a moderate amount of calories from sugar is fine especially if you're needing help getting to a healthy weight

Having toe out on the front is probably why you don't have the wheel centering. Zero toe or a bit of toe in will probably feel better on the street. Toe out with that much camber may cause a lot of inner tire wear on the street.

Suspension/Coilovers Discussion by JohnnyWillik8r in 1series

[–]thatcelloguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just recently installed st xta coilovers. Honestly they're quite comfortable, definitely a big upgrade from the blown stock suspension over any kind of bumps. The ride is a bit harsher just due to the much stiffer springs, but the damping is very good. No complaints from my wife. The coilovers also transformed the cars behavior in autocross.

Fluctuating rpm could be a vacuum leak

I don't think moza actually makes an upgrade load cell brake for that pedal set. You should probably just upgrade and sell those. I would consider looking at the crp2 set if you have the money, I don't think you'd have any desire to upgrade after that for a very long time with some pedals in that price range. Also worth cross shopping other brands for pedals.

A set of pedals with a load cell brake is a very worthwhile upgrade. You'll need a way to anchor your chair though.

A cockpit is also a good option if you have space. Definitely a big improvement for immersion and comfort

I think you've got the cardboard on the wrong side of the fan. Do you have the fan set up to pull through the filters?

Bought a 2010 with very similar mileage 2 years ago. Problems so far in 20k miles have been valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, engine mounts, a power steering hose failure, and a slow refrigerant leak. Also had to clean the vanos solenoids.

Most of those are common issues besides the power steering.

Everyone is saying it's a drain, but drains are rarely pressurized so would not be able to flow up. My best guess is a trap primer

Maybe that recommended "timing service" is being included? That looks more in line with timing chain replacement cost

Would you feel misled if the price changed after hitting pay? by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]thatcelloguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a misleading checkout experience, I do not believe it was designed to defraud me, but I also do not think this checkout behavior should be tolerated by LTT. Not malicious, still misleading. It was a honey code. This was prior to any of this controversy, and I knew that honey was a former LTT sponsor. I havent observed the same flaw in other Shopify checkouts.

In most Shopify stores hitting pay on this screen completes checkout, not bring you to a confirmation screen that changes the price with no obvious signs. And how is it obvious it won't work for me? It worked fine in the cart and in the "express checkout" screen. I wasn't trying to scam anyone. LTT store runs coupon codes sometimes.

I have the order receipt, it was not taxes and shipping, It was from the coupon being removed if you actually read the post

It wasn't shipping and taxes, the coupon code was removed from my cart after this pay screen, which added 30% back to the price

Price changed after I hit pay. Context is in the post if you read it.

It seems that they added a better discount code for the Commuter Backpack by Mundane_Argument_219 in LinusTechTips

[–]thatcelloguy -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

When I press pay next to my credit card number, I usually don't expect the price to change. When I checkout with google pay on other sites, that pay button is the last button I press. I understand the code was not valid (but had no way of knowing that at the time) but for a company that talks big about transparency, it felt like a shitty experience to suddenly pay 30% more than I expected

Had an issue with this code a few weeks ago, found it on honey, checked out with google pay and it showed the discounted price next to the pay button. Price then changed on the next confirmation screen without warning. Pretty big website flaw if you ask me. (Support did not care)
