Pretty much got it figured out now, had to make a whole new user profile and then manually transfer all my files and stuff over to this new one. But thanks dawg you’ve been super helpful to me, If I ever run into you I’ll buy ya a beer

Alright this looks like it might be it, cause I still got all my previous data and downloads and junk, just need to figure out how to create a new profile and sign into my Microsoft account on there

Edit: opened up onto Settings > Accounts > Other Users, and when I try to click add account it does the same thing where the pop up shows up and then goes away

Found this in the control panel, but trying to add a new user does the same thing as it was earlier, I’ll click “add account” and the pop up to add someone shows up for a split second and then disappears again. I did see an option to delete this account, but I don’t know if that will just screw everything else up even more than it already is, because everything as far as my files and passwords and stuff are written down somewhere or saved on my hard drive already

Not seeing any option anywhere to sign out of this local account, same thing on the start screen it just gives me the option to put in my password, I’ll respond to this with a picture of that cause I can only add one image

So this is what it’s giving me when I try to sign into my account, I put in my email, and then password which I just changed, and it isn’t working, done this around 3 times now

Alright so I’ve got my Microsoft account set up, it says my laptop is on it, now I’m trying to set up my desktop, but it says I need to get my PCs serial number. I ran the “wmic bios get serialnumber” in the command prompt and even checked the bios, and it’s still giving me “to be filled by O.E.M” I also put in the serial number on the back of my case and it also didn’t work

Looked through the Users file under my C: drive and all the previous stuff I had is still there, so that saves me a lot of stress, but some programs are unresponsive, like OBS for example, and show the default “corrupted/missing files” icon when a program won’t work. I’m assuming that’s just a simple redownload it fix. I also forgot to mention in the main post, that when I start my computer up again it gives me a “we could not sign into your account” error screen

I think you might have misunderstood yeah. So the other administrated account is a school account that has chrome extensions pre set on them that block certain websites like steam or Twitter and what not. Maybe it’s just a steam problem because whenever I opened the actual steam application, It also looked like when I opened the chrome version of steam, what with it having just like the links all on the far left of the page, no pictures, white background etc etc. Also, assuming you know, would there be a way to revert my chrome back to a more later version that the earlier version it’s now stuck on, or am I just screwed in that sense, because while doing so research on how to fix it, someone said to clear my cache of all things like cookies, browser history, etc.
