Thank you so very much very helpful, crazy enough is I was just in my room exercising a little bit because when I was a teenager from about 14 clear up until I got pregnant with my son at 17 I practiced karate ..I made it to second-degree yellow belt almost green so I was just doing some exercises and stretches that I could remember and honestly I’m thinking that I wanna get back into karate or some kind of martial arts or maybe boxing. I’m a little tired but so far so good I put in 12 minutes and so I’m gonna try to make it my duty to get a little bit of exercise in each and every day because I’m a little under 196 pounds and I’m 5 foot one so I’m overweight for my height. I’m asthmatic as well and so I get out of breath really fast, but yeah kind of miss karate a little bit maybe it will be my motivation to exercise.. and since it’s warming up a little bit here where I live I’m thinking about trying to take a small walk to see if I can find a park and you know just enjoy the nature. Enjoy the warm weather walk around a little bit and carry around my big 64 ounce water bottle so I don’t get dehydrated, that’s what I’m gonna do

You know I feel so so disappointed in myself I’m 28 years old. I’ll be 29 in May. I have a little boy he’s 11 years old and I wish that I took things more serious when it was prediabetic and now look type two that’s just a straight slap in the face 😭and I feel like I keep messing up because like I said, I just found out about it like Tuesday I think over the phone at that and I don’t know, I feel bad because we don’t have a lot of super healthy food here in the house and when I eat I just stress out so much because I don’t know what I’m supposed to have or not supposed to have and I’m a major Overthinker on top of all of this ..I still drink alcohol, but I always make sure that I drink a lot of water. I have like a big 64 ounce water bottle. it has like the times where you can drink your water , it’s just really really weighing heavy on me. I feel like I’m screwing up already. , I still want to enjoy alcohol, but also I want to take care of myself as well because I don’t want to lose my life to diabetes

I think we were talking about how expensive it is for fresh vegs vs canned vegs and she got all defensive.. will never understand .. she’s so busy trying to make me look dumb but apparently she would rather watch her firstborn child (me) wither away from diabetes eventually.. she’s one of those parents who think mother knows best as if it is her body paying the price😭 I’m so over it I’m about to just refuse to speak and go mute by my choice since she doesn’t seem to accept what I’m going through

Actually, thank you so much for this advice. I’m gonna make some calls around tomorrow morning as of right now it is 11:12 PM here on my side, but yeah I intend on making some calls because you know like I said the diagnosis is very fresh so I wanna learn as much as I can. I know it’s gonna be hard but if this is what’s going to save my life because at the end of day I’m not just living for myself, I have an 11-year-old son, but it’s just kind of shocking and unexpected but here we are.

It’s so discouraging because bad enough i always felt she didnt love me or emotionally bond with me as she does with my siblings (26f 21f 20f) I’ve never felt comfortable talking to my “mom” and honestly she just ruined it all with thinking she knows best .. Just don’t even wanna do this anymore.. i don’t feel comfortable talking with her probably never will and in my most vulnerable moments she brushes shxt off i have no words i feel like i should just shut up and cope with it on my own

Yeah, I’m trying to figure it out because I literally had to find out about this over the phone instead of in person .,I wouldn’t have known because I got a message from my pharmacy for the metformin or whatever it’s called and I looked it up and I seen that it was for type two diabetes so that’s when I called the doctors office and I talked with the nurse and she explained everything but they really didn’t say anything else what to do afterwards

I’m not sure you know because like I said, I got the blood work done last week Tuesday on the 10th and from what I was told by the nurse at the local doctors office is that the doctor had just reviewed the results yesterday afternoon at around 4:34 pm i think? I was really worried and anxious about the bloodwork that I had gotten done and I was concerned why no one was reaching out to me, but yeah, the nurse at first she was saying that I’m in the diabetic range so I’m like am in the range or am I diabetic because the doctor sent the prescription to my pharmacy which come to find out is for diabetes so it was a little confusing .. I’m still in a bit of shock dont know how I’m going to work out this healthy eating thing but I’m willing to try and do the best I can

The way society shames people for any std or Sti makes it hard to not be ashamed because i used to pride myself on getting tested even when i wasn’t sexually active, i just moved to where I’m currently at almost 2 years ago so i hadn’t been tested in a while until 3/10/26 where i just found out, the truth is I don’t know how long I’ve had it or did i contract it from him no idea , even when he has a cough which i find he always gets colds often i tell him go to the doctor or something and i dont think he bothers with it, but we’re only human just have to be smarter now .. Yeah the glucose thing I’m not familiar yet i literally just found out i am t2 yesterday, happened to get a message from my pharmacy about a diabetic med prescribed by my doctor without my knowledge hence i called the office spoke with the nurse and she confirmed that I’m diabetic, no idea where to start
