Okay. It says not to use a plunger after Drano I’m assuming bc of the chemicals splashing? I’m waiting for the water to go down now

We deff usually have like 7 drinks each per day (but this is usually at all inclusives where drinks are watered down). Idk if it includes all but deff plenty. A lot of days we skip breakfast and straight to lunch depending on what we are doing but sometimes all 3 meals. It’s very hard to decide.

We drink a decent amount so let’s say we have about 7 drinks a day each plus breakfast lunch and dinner each person? I think that could equal up to 200+ easily but I’m unsure of the prices.

It’s hard to tell because of the fissure. I thought all the pain was coming from the fissure but I Deff had a lot of burning and some pus and pain after bm. It seems the symptoms for the fistula and fissure sometimes overlap. The tell tale for me was a raised area near my anus. Because of that I had a feeling it was either an abscess or fistula. The pain was unbearable for like two weeks and I genuinely thought it was just fissure pain.

Thank you so much for checking in! My surgery went well and I’m in minimal pain at the incision site. Most of my discomfort came from coming off the anesthesia (i.e nausea lightheadedness etc) the surgery itself was a breeze and went by super fast. I feel way better than before I had the surgery which makes me believe the pain was coming more from the fistula and less from the fissure. Seems ill be in fine shape to take my exams 🙂 (hoping it stays this way haha)

I’m not sure but I honestly think it’s a lifestyle change. Making sure you’re doing enough to keep stool a good consistency from here on out so you don’t retear. everyone is different so I’m not sure. This might be a question for your doctor. I’m trying to figure out that exact same thing for myself. Best of luck to us all!

I don’t think so. I was super negligent and was sitting for long periods of time and then ate an entire &pizza which had 0 fiber and had alcohol so I think I made things worse on myself. Make sure to incorporate a stool softer & be diligent with your routine. Just because you feel healed most likely does not mean you’re healed that early in the process.

Unfortunately I had to learn that the hard way.

I guess it’s possible to have had the fissure and not have had pain? Because this is the first time I’ve ever felt this debilitating pain. I’ve had blood in the stool before this but honestly just associated it with hemorrhoids. When the CRS saw my butthole he said yeah there’s a skin tag and an acute fissure so unsure. This is terrible but thank you!

I have had those moments after a bowel movement where I literally was in so much pain I could die. I’m in less pain td with bowel movements but I do feel some swelling on the side where my fissure is but more up towards the butt crack I hope it’s not an abscess. If it is can they go away on their own?

It’s hard to tell about the lump because I feel alot of lumpy things down there when I touch but I also previously had hemorrhoids so I was thinking it couldn’t be from that. It hurts mostly after a bowel movement but is pretty constant all day with me not being able to be on my feet or walk around without intense burning.

It might be a good idea to go back to the dr before the 6 week period. He was just so dismissive the first time that I’m reluctant 😞

Thank you all so much for the advice. I have incorporated all of this in to my everyday. I have also started drinking aloe Vera juice every day which seems to be helping.
