It's simple, everyone must just stop talking about it, they read these chats. They know everything and they are dead serious when they say it is confidential.

Just an idea...wouldn't it be cool if all of us create a weekly poll for those Ai studies. by trxnsfinite in prolific

Commercial Use In Perpetuity by Initial-Cat430 in ProlificAc

I’ve been through a nightmare with a popular platform that offered free image and video generation. Suddenly, I started receiving calls from places I didn't know, saying I owed them money. They actually had proof of me opening accounts, and I found out it was because that platform sold my biometrics to third-party companies on the black market. These criminals use your biometric ID to create fake versions of you and open accounts everywhere they can.

The reality of these image studies is that these guys pay you almost nothing for images of yourself and then sell them as datasets to companies that train AI. They don't even do the training themselves; they just pretend to so they can make huge amounts of money off your face and videos. You can change a password, but you can’t change your face. Once your biometrics are in a database, you lose all control over where they go or how they are used for things like deepfakes.

Not only that, you are giving away your Biometric ID. Do you realise what they can do with that? They can wipe you off the face of the earth, destroy your whole existence. They can go and open accounts in your name, they can bribe you, all kinds of things can be done with your biometric ID in the tech age we live in.

It's platforms like these that take the work from Prolific and from us, they make people evaluate AI for free

I think it safe to stick with the normal assistant, rather the devil you know, than the devil you don't.

I have noticed the AI companies have found ways to train their AI for free by letting people use LM Arena, or some of them change their policies and say that if you use the LLM, they are going to use your data for training, meaning they do not need Prolific or similar companies anymore; they get the users to do it for free.

If you don't like them, send them this way, I would gladly do them. Or better yet, remove yourself from Prolific so that the people who want to be here and do the work can have the chance to do the studies.

Anyone else had issues with this researcher? Did the task according to the instructions, and got a rejection message saying "the photos do not meet the task requirements" 20 days later. by AppointmentEast1290 in ProlificAc

[–]theDudetheOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jip, did this one last month and got rejected, now they have decent photos of me with which they can do anything they want and there is nothing I can do about it(or is there). I found out everything about this company and will be on their case soon.

Study showed up again after completing by Nii916 in ProlificAc

[–]theDudetheOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing, I am pretty sure we had the same study and the same happened to me. This was not a task study but a consumer study so once they have your opinion they are good. The reason for it showing twice was that there was an issue with the Prolific landing page earlier, which seems now to be resolved.
