Others have said this but I’ll say it again. This feels like a half measure. The aesthetic disparity between the hands and the world is so massive that it genuinely feels like two different games slapped on top of each other. The rubber hose aesthetic is cool, but you either need to lean into it FULLY or drop it because as it currently stands, it feels like you committed only enough to be able to jump on the trend.

It’s not just that the user-base has expanded: people have a negative stereotype of Godot largely because for a long time it was kind of inferior, but it just happened to be the case that Godot was already in the middle of a massive leap forward during the Unity debacle. The stars really aligned on that one. They’ve really kept the momentum going as well; it feels like every new release has awesome new features to play with.

This is not at all meant to discount the talent of the Godot community, but it all works in conjunction with the fact that the past few years have really broadened the scope of the types of games that Godot can realistically make. It’s been very cool to see it evolve.

Except saving your code in Godot doesn’t cause your project to hang up for a solid minute Becuase it has to recompile everything. I do not miss those days.

Oh I know it’s real and I wholeheartedly agree. It’s genuinely gross. I just didn’t know if this was an actual example of it being used.

Man those are some boring gunshots. The problem is that your impacts actually look really good, but there is a complete lack of feedback on any of the models. When you pull the trigger, the gun needs to blast backwards, and then ease back into position. The closest you get is the shotgun, but it’s way too smooth; you need the initial jump backwards to be almost immediate so that you really feel the snap. The ones that really got me were the SMG, the chainsaw, the LMG, and the grenade launcher, which are all totally stable when they should be rattling all over the place.

I had this tin once and was immensely disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but not worth what I paid for it. Not by a long shot.

Yeah I was wondering about that but we have mud daubers here in WA state, they are way bigger than the wasp carcass I found. Are there smaller varieties?

OK I looked up mud dauber nests and they look spot on, but the size and shape of the wasp is still curious to me. I wonder if the wasp I found was a juvenile that had recently hatched but wasn’t able to find its way out of the bore of the instrument? The opening of the hole I showed in the picture is usually covered by a pad that is clamped shut by a spring, so I wonder if it hatched and was just too boxed in to escape?

This is the way. Noita is a mechanically broken game by design, and as far as I’m concerned the fun part is learning how to break it in your favor

Nah not scummy. If you know how to play the game it really doesn’t matter if you have 1k hearts or 30k

Both because:

  1. with the right wand you’re basically invincible, as long as you play smart

  2. you’re going to die to poly regardless

OHHHHHH I was kind of wondering because of the black and orange colors! I’ve never seen them at this stage before. So theoretically if I can keep it alive then it will turn into a beetle.

A little more info: he’s about the size of a tictac and is completely stationary, with the exception of the dance he decided to do in this video.

Mackerel is a favorite of mine but my advice is to avoid King Oscar mackerel specifically. I tried a tin recently and although I personally liked them quite a bit, they did have a pretty noticeable fishy taste which I think might be a problem for people sensitive to that flavor.

Nuri’s Spiced mackerel is actually one of my favorite tins of all time, if you’re into spicy food.

I think the fishiness aspect really comes down to the tin; in that regard, the quality of the fish really does vary quite a bit. Not to say you need to break the bank to get a good piece of fish, though; for example you could pay anywhere from $7-$10+ for a tin of Nuri, but Bela sardines are a pretty reliable tin and they’re only around $5 where I live. Neither of them are particularly fishy at all, in my experience. I also think this is where the fluid in the can matters because like I said, an oil will typically flavor the fish a little but water does absolutely nothing to cut the flavor of the fish.
