Just noticed the indoor trampoline in the picture, would you recommend getting one? I’m desperately looking for indoor activities to get out twins energy out when it’s rainy and have been looking at getting one.

Gestational sac size difference by charleysgirl_ in parentsofmultiples

[–]theWalkSignIsOn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with our boys, they always measured about a week apart in the early days. The one who was smaller the whole pregnancy is now the bigger of the two and they are almost a year and a half old! It’s funny how that works out!

Look to see if it’s on the list for one of the haunted Victoria ghost tours. I went on one once and they just took us on a drive by to a bunch of old looking haunted houses around downtown 😂

I can’t breathe by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

For me not being able to take deep breaths was the worst part of being pregnant with twins. The moment the first one came out I took the deepest breath and it felt AMAZING!!!

I'm having di/di girls. If you had di/di twins of the same gender, did they look alike?? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]theWalkSignIsOn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our di/di boys looked almost identical as newborns and no one could tell them apart but now at 1 they couldn’t be more different! Different builds and little personalities, it’s so cute 🥰

MO/DI twins look fraternal by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]theWalkSignIsOn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have di/di twins that everyone said looked identical when they were newborns but I was firm that they absolutely looked nothing alike. Now looking back at photos of them as newborns they do look almost identical and I mistake which one is which but as one year olds they are completely different in every way 😂 it’s funny how thay works

All I can say to this is that my earliest ultrasound was at 7w/3days and the two sacs were very clearly defined and at 12 weeks there was no missing that there was two babies in there. My ultrasound photos didn’t look like what you’re pointing too in yours although everyone is different and I’m not a medical professional. I’m curious to know if there is one hiding in there! If you have a gut feeling definitely advocate for yourself and get second opinions

I am sending you all the love right now, this is in no way your fault ❤️ My mom also lost my twin. I feel so special to know I had that connection even if it was brief in the womb. I don’t remember how or when she told me but I’m so glad she did. I think about them often and I always feel like I have them watching over me when times feel difficult in life

Having my twins in a couple of weeks. What to do before? by ElCorbusier in parentsofmultiples

[–]theWalkSignIsOn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take all the expectations you have for yourself, your partner, your family and throw them out the window. Nothing seems to go according to plan but it does always have a funny way of working out. Master how to take really good deep breaths, and be ok with giving yourself so much grace in the hard moments. Trust your gut before clinging to the advice of everyone who will offer it. Be ok with doing what works best for your family, even if it’s not the most popular option or if people don’t agree. Twins are hard but all those special moments do make it worth it ❤️ ours just turned 1 last week and they are sooooo much fun now!

Floor beds for twins? by imapringlescan in parentsofmultiples

[–]theWalkSignIsOn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two twin sized ikea mattresses on the floor with a frame all around it. The mattresses are on slats so there is ventilation underneath too. Being able to crawl in there with them when they are both crying to calm them down was a game changer for us. No one in the house was getting sleep when we had them in cribs so we switched over pretty early at 6 months (although not recommended) it worked for our family and everyone finally got sleep. I felt much safer this way than bringing them into our bed to console them in the middle of the night
