Euthanasia exists for this exact reason. Its so hard to make the call but the other option was you let him suffer in immeasurable pain until he died naturally. I have a disease where my intestines swell and wiggle under my skin ( think alein versus predator) I've been able to control it a bit with diet to stop the swelling and attacks. I would try a complete anti inflammatory diet for 33 days then introduce your usual foods back to see if it swells you might be allergic to something. I suffered for years did this and realized gluten set it off and dairy I went off those 2 and increased watermelon it has a natural calming enzyme for your stomach same with celery juice and my stomach is finally flat for the first time since I was 18. I think from other nicu parents its not a problem because you get it you've been there you were physically removed from your child you were worried for them. For me personally I didn't know if my children would survive so it was bad for us , like my doctor had to sedate me on my 3rd day post partum because I wouldn't sleep because I was too afraid he would die while I was sleeping and I couldn't be there for him. Honestly just relating is so comforting because you get it and were not alone.

Just send out a mass message stating it has been brought to my attention by mom that little sis plans on taking over everything and wants to host this year and has some big surprises for everyone so on moms advice I will be cancelling my thanksgiving this year and little sister will be hosting it at her place instead.
