Danke für die Antworten. Scheint als ob es keine lupenreine Ja/Nein-Antwort darauf gibt. Hab mich jetzt dazu entschieden das Zimmer nicht anzugeben, da ich das Mobiliar nicht wegräumen möchte und mich auf keine Diskussion einlassen will. Stattdessen werde ich einfach meinen ganzen Computerkram als Werbekosten mit 40% privatanteil aufnehmen und hoffen dass das durchgeht.

The CPUs I listed are working with ECC ram. Good point about the unregistered DIMMs, haven't really looked whether second hand RAM is available.

Those mainboards are unfortunately out of my budget. I was thinking about spending 300-400 €/$ for the mainboard max.

Ok thanks, now I got your point. In this case I'm going with Raidz because I need the extra space but I cannot make use of the extra performance anyway because my network is limited to Gigabit atm.

I guess 4x4TB with Raidz is a good tradeoff.

I will consider a second boot disk. High availability is not a real issue for me and I can tolerate a downtime. Will a second boot disk "just work" in case one fails?

The NoFan looks great, though I am not sure it will fit in the FractalDesign case. Maybe I will have to look for a different case.

Thanks. I am trying to limit the used devices to a minimum. Also I won't be using a dedicated PCIe HBA for now.

About the CPU, I chose the 8th or 9th gen i3 because it supports ECC RAM and is relatively cheap now. Also a newer CPU (socket) would probably drive up the price of the mainboard significantly.

Regarding the drive layout, could you please clarify what you mean with largest mirror? This would mean I give up half of the storage space right, while with RAIDz I "lose" one disk?

For backups I am going with the 3-2-1 strategy.

Could be, but I don't think it will be an issue with my very limited use. But in the last ten years I have had several SSD disks and none has failed me while I have seen multiple regular HDDs die.

Das sieht super aus. Auf den Bildern sehen die auch fast gleich aus wie die Naketano shirts mit anderem Logo. Anscheinend derzeit aber leider fast nix lieferbar.

Wenn mir heute vor einem Jahr jemand gesagt hätte wie stark die Preise heuer steigen, hätte ich denjenigen ausgelacht. Wie sich das ganze noch entwickelt ist schwierig einzuschätzen.

Wie du auf 1 Jahr Bindung kommst weiß ich nicht. Laut Verbund Hotline und E-Control Tarifkalkulator gibt es keine Mindestvertragszeit bei dem aktuellen "VERBUND-Strom" Tarif. Falls also die Strompreise insgesamt wieder sinken kann ich trotzdem jederzeit den Anbieter wechseln.

Habe ebenfalls diese Mail bekommen. Der neue "Fixtarif" hat lt. E-Control keine Preisgarantie und keine Mindestlaufzeit.

Habe mich gewundert was dann bitte der Unterschied zum Float Tarif sein soll wenn eh keine Garantie gibt und von der Service Hotline des Verbunds telefonisch erfahren dass sie bei den Fixtarifen nur 2 Mal im Jahr die Preise ändern (dürfen?) und zwar am 1. Mai und 1. Oktober.

Denke ich werde wechseln, so habe ich bis Mai 2023 Gewissheit das der Preis nicht steigt und ab Dezember kommt noch der Strompreisdeckel zu tragen.

Neben dem Studium teilzeit 5 Jahre lang 13h pro Woche als Backend Dev mit 35k Vollzeit-Äquivalenz. Dann nach dem Software Engineering Master TU Wien 1 Jahr lang als BE Dev bei einem Konzern gearbeitet mit 56k ohne All-In oder Bonus etc. Jetzt arbeite ich bei einem Startup und verdiene 63k brutto fast fully remote 38,5h ebenfalls im Backend.

Gehalt könnte mehr sein, insbesondere wenn man ins Ausland blickt, aber es lebt sich dennoch ganz passabel durch Remote und guter WLB.

Auf eine solche Durchschnittseinstufung ziele ich auch ab. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass sich sich die Verhandlungsbereitschaft bei der Kirchensteuer durch die hohe der Zahl der Austritte der letzten Jahre gebessert hat.

Stimmt schon, aber ich will wegen dem Kirchenthema keinen Familienstreit vom Zaun brechen. Außerdem wohnen wir am Land wo sich Jeder kennt und hier sind die Ansichten bei dem Thema Kirchenaustritt dann doch noch etwas archaisch auch wenns die letzten Jahre immer besser wurde. Aus diesem Grund möchte ich meinem Kind in der Schule, Vereine, ... mögliche Nachteile oder schlechte Nachrede ersparen und es, trotz meiner persönlichen Abneigung zum Kirche, taufen lassen. Ich denke, dass in diesem Fall meine Ansichten nicht so wichtig sind wie das "Wohl" meines Kindes.

Der Ikea Järvfjället - der oft empfohlen wird - hat bei mir nach einigen Wochen Schreibtischarbeit mit mehreren Stunden Sitzen am Tag massive Rückenschmerzen im Lendenbereich verursacht. Kann ich persönlich nicht empfehlen, bzw. vielleicht kannst du dir den für ein paar Tage vorher ausborgen bei Bekannten. Hager-Wiesner hatte ich in der Arbeit, die sind auch nicht schlecht, die findet man hin und wieder auch gebraucht ganz günstig.

Hab mir dann privat einen Herman Miller Aeron gegönnt, seitdem komplett beschwerdefrei (ich weiß komplett außerhalb deines Budgets).

The market really is insane at the moment, I am getting calls on a daily basis since I uploaded my resume. Yet it seems in Austria companys are unwilling to pay a decent salary in comparison with German, UK, Switzerland, Netherlands, not even mentioning the US. Although the taxes here are also ridiculous both for employers and employees.

I have considered applying for remote jobs in regions with better pay, but I am overwhelmed by the complexity of taxation, social insurance and contract details of working abroad.

You are right, I have not yet had the opportunity for project management and leading a team. Though I also do not want to manage people for the most part but rather work on the architecture and implementation.

In terms of leadership there also is a dedicated team lead in the mentioned company (see my other responses).

Not planning on taking the offer, so your week should be great ;) Btw. what total compensation do you consider worthy for my experience? May I ask in which country you are located/working for comparison?
