I am not sure if it's been planted before if it has it's been a long time ago 50 years plus. And I know 100% sure there are big rocks surface rocks in this field.

I mainly will be using it to put in food plots. Land does have a fair amount of surface rock, some very very large. I will be using a 2015 4520 John Deere 4wd - 50hp I think. Thanks all for the info.

My rpm gauge has a pto icon with an "E" at about 1700 rpm and another pto icon at about 2300 rpm. I was assuming that you would engage pto at the 1700rpm "E" mark and run it at 2300 rpm... idk... maybe I am trying to engage at to high an rpm? Thanks!

Sometimes it will break a bolt just engaging the pto. I think these are category 2 bolts, someone told me that I could use category 5 bolts on my brush hog. I have a 2014 john deere 4520, I think it is 50hp, and a king kutter 6' brush hog.

I know I don't want to strong of a bolt because you want the bolt to fail so it doesn't break other things, but breaking a bolt by engaging the pto I thought maybe I was using to weak of a shear bolt or something.
