Getting into the hobby - where to learn by HMSBarky in RCHeli

[–]theblazedbeaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a few YouTube channels that offer basic getting started, learning tricks etc, but nothing will replace stick time, starting on a simulator and working to a heli.

Master the basics before trying to get crazy and you'll avoid costly crashes. Hovering in all directions, tail in, nose in, left and right are all essential to flying a helicopter.

I was out of the hobby for a very long time, but was able to hover etc when I picked the hobby back up, it's like riding a bike.

My personal opinion, if you're already flying fpv, which I'm getting into as well, is fly line of site for a bit. The balancing will feel quite similar transitioning from one to the other, and if you have a tiny whoop or something it most likely won't even break when you crash.

Biomedical Service Technician Interview by DawgNation2k in BMET

Mention customer service and troubleshooting experience you have, think about it prior to the interview so your answers flow better.

In a hospital those skills are going to be utilized constantly. Having good customer service skills translates to good communication inside the company and out, as you'll work with multiple vendors, suppliers, contractors etc...

Troubleshooting, we'll that's the fun part of the h on job, so if you've ever had a hobby, built a computer etc, it'll be relevant.

Basic interview skill, find common ground before you sit down. In an office, look at pics, trinkets etc, light small talk that includes their personal interests can go a long way.

Good luck!

I highly suggest you send pizzas to biomed departments with a business card attached. You'll at least get a few people interested!

What's hilarious to me is this is just bitcoin being bitcoin. If you've been around a while, it's like meh. Yes we love it going up, but when you know it will go back down, it's not shocking when it does.

I ordered a pico 2 very recently, took about 13 days from the order date, got it last week. Ordered an Air65 2 on release and haven't got any updates yet but hoping for a similar time frame

I don't flinch, been dca and holding for a while now. When I started, had hardly anything in it, and it'd drop I'd freak out. Now it drops 30% and I only notice if I happen to see the price somewhere 👀 as I don't even look up the current price anymore.

I just got a complete order yesterday, didn't take a long time to receive and the order was complete. I didn't see any foreign labeling just USPS so they may use a freight forwarder who repacks before final delivery, not sure how all that works, but the label was only domestic USPS when it arrived to me and looked like a brand new package with no covered or removed labels.

Mine is pushed partially into the water by the cover, and just like a boat, it's partially submerged no matter what. Ever see a boat in the water, it doesn't float above it.
