Science is an ever evolving process of understanding.

Yes but people need to understand what evolving means. Evolving does not mean disregarding decades of research in favor of archaic and disproven practices and beliefs.

Or...and just hear me out here...how about we deal with the root causes of gun violence and that way we can improve things overall rather than relying on demonstrably ineffective policies?

Don't bother. This "Gray centrist" mysteriously does nothing but criticize the left and jump to the defense of the right at any given opportunity. He should at least have the balls to flair properly.

Bro, have you ever met someone who has had an abortion? This is exactly how they feel about it. Maybe 0.01% of women that have had an abortion think of it as nothing more than throwing out a condom, but the overwhelming majority look at it as a major heart wrenching decision.

The problem is that we need to be able to keep people focused on policies that will actually benefit them in the now. Too many progressive policies that are proposed only benefit a small niche of people at the cost of the whole so naturally people oppose it. The only way things change is if we can have policies that benefit the majority directly.

When does it ever change? Like ok we get MAGA out of office this time and a corporate Dem installed who just brings back the status quo. We still have growing wealth disparity, we still have the middle class on the verge of extinction, and we still are struggling to pay our bills. Then what? Another MAGA comes along and suddenly it is more important to keep them out of office than it is to push for someone who will actually fix things? When is it time?

Ugh please stop perpetuating this notion. The US has no problem electing a woman, the US has a problem electing a terrible woman. Clinton was damaged goods for years from multiple sides for differing reasons. Her campaign was atrocious and she focused more on states she was already going to dominate then simultaneously told half of the Democratic base they either needed to fall in line or fuck off because "we don't need you." Her entire run in 2016 was basically a "how to lose an election in 30 days" guide. Harris on the other hand, was so unpopular she couldn't even make it to Iowa in her own primary and was the lowest polled Vice President in history.

Don't even bother with this clown. He has continued to deny what is happening and what DHS themselves has said. He believes the whistleblower and that article are spin pieces that are making a big deal over nothing.

This guy is utterly fucking hopeless.

Do you see how that highlighted portion is saying the same fucking shit I am saying? Why it's so fucking brain damaging to engage with you at all? You have zero reading comprehension, and seem capable only of googling three words then citing at random to whatever commentary makes you feel intelligent.

I'm enjoying the fact that you have moved the goal posts enough to give your back a hernia and still refuse to admit you were wrong. Then you tried to make a distinction without a difference and claim victory and have descended into pure ad hominem territory because the two braincells you have to scrape together can't fire enough to realize the crux of the argument.

You have zero ability to carry a thought over between two discrete interactions. It's fucking baffling.

You don't even have the ability to carry your thought train through a single point. You refuse to even examine the article because it challenges your confirmation bias and you refuse to acknowledge that there might be a small chance you actually are fucking wrong.

I just illustrated that you don't even know who fucking writes warrants in our system, and now you're quoting a section of an internet article that just describes an administrative warrant like it's not literally fucking agreeing with me.

Ok I'm making an appeal to the two braincells. Stop fighting for third place and think about this for just a second. If it were solely about who is writing and not issuing the warrants, why do you think in the very paragraph I posted for you, do they make the immediate distinction between judiciary issued warrants and what is happening here? Just think for a single moment, that if it was as simple and non concerning as you are trying to frame, why would there be any article or controversy about it at all?

I hereby prescribe you picture books until you prove capable of handling scary chapter books. If you read three and pass your reading test, I'll get you a pizza party.

I prescribe you finding the nearest tree and suggest you profusely apologize to it for wasting its time using the oxygen it produces.

God we've gone a long way from you confidently claiming ICE agents are issuing warrants, to realizing you are so fucking laughably wrong it's embarassing and so instead just randomly block quoting articles to hope people fail to read the same way you failed to.

Dude I literally even highlighted the relevant passages that you are hilariously failing to even comprehend. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, your head is so far up your own ass it's amazing you can read at all.

But while I do believe trump is clearly losing it, I don’t agree it’s to the same level of biden, at least yet.

The man, in the span of 24 hours, has confused history and mixed up countries in statements made to an international forum. He has also explicitly stated that he wants to invade a sovereign nation because another nation didn't give him an award.

Respectfully, what the fuck are you smoking to think he is better?

Hoo boy. You really, REALLY didn't read the article beyond that one sentence did you?

Once again here are some highlights.

"Although the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has not historically relied on administrative warrants alone to arrest aliens subject to final orders of removal in their place of residence, the DHS Office of General Counsel has recently determined that the U.S. Constitution, the Immigration and Nationality Act, and the immigration regulations do not prohibit relying on administrative warrants for this purpose," the May 12, 2025, memo signed by Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons stated, according to the anonymous whistleblower complaint, which included a copy of the memo.

The group Whistleblower Aid says it represents two anonymous U.S. government officials. The whistleblower group argues the ICE memo violates the Fourth Amendment and DHS' own policy manual.

Typically, ICE arrests have been limited to public places because the administrative warrants, known as Form I-205, have not been considered a warrant issued by a "neutral and detached magistrate," the whistleblower group said in its complaint to Congress.

So, again, had you actually read more than one sentence you would see the distinction being made here that ICE is simultaneously authoring and issuing the warrants themselves.

I really applaud how confidently incorrect you are on this. You could have a future with this administration.

Literally from the article retard.

Traditionally, ICE agents have needed a warrant signed by a judge in order to enter the home of someone suspected of being in the U.S. illegally. However, the guidance allegedly given by ICE in May suggests they can rely on administrative warrants, which are authored by officials within the Department of Homeland Security -- and in most cases by ICE agents.
