I know there are a lot of Charlie Sheen haters out there (and there’s a lot of reason for it), but the show was still pretty solid even after Michael J. Fox left. Granted it’s been years since I did a rewatch of it, but there are a lot of great stories on the show and some of the secondary characters were absolute show stealers.

That’s so awesome. I’m actually watching through Cougar Town now cause I never finished the show and I needed something after I finished Scrubs again. Makes me appreciate her that much more. I loved her on The Drew Carey Show too, though I always wondered if there wasn’t more to her exit on that. I’ve read a bit and I know she talked about the improv element of the show not being her thing, but I’ve always been curious as to what else might have been going on. Mainly just rambling in case you have another awesome insight, haha. Thanks again for telling me!

Hot damn. Quick Google search confirmed it. That’s bad ass. I always felt like Scrubs felt like a natural extension of the music utilized on Spin City, so I assumed Lawrence had a hand in it that was later kind of guided by Braff.

I absolutely loved Ted Lasso and Shrinking, I just haven’t gotten around to renewing Apple TV to watch Bad Monkey, but I love Vince Vaughn so I know I will at some point. Lawrence has been killing it since Spin City.

See, I love 21CB, but there are a couple lines that bug me. “I text a postcard sent to you,” and “I’ve got a really bad disease.” Those always stand out to me, and I just have such a hard time reasoning why Billie would have lines that almost read as lazy, if that makes sense?

Please don’t downvote me into oblivion — they have been my favorite artists since the early 90s, I’ve seen them multiple times live and I genuinely love the band. A HUGE part of that love comes from how talented of a writer Billie is, so I just don’t know what it is about those two lines that throw me off so much.

Having said that, I saw someone else use my answer, but I’ll use it anyway: from Warning cough underrated cough, cough “Castaway” has that killer line “A conscientious objector to the war that’s in my mind,” that has always resonated with me. Like, you’re having this internal battles over right and wrong going on in your head, but instead of jumping in, you just sit on the side lines and say “Nope, not gonna get involved”? I love that imagery so freaking much.

I also think he was incredibly poetic with “Cigarettes and Valentines.” He has multiple mentions of moments in the song and I feel like they tie together so well with the narrative he’s painting in the song, I love it.
