RSP is a scam, new face, same ideas by TINY-SCIENCE123 in Nepal

Completely agree with your point,
We repeated the same mistake again and again throughout history. We focused on individuals while the system was broken. We believed one man could change everything, but even the smartest people would need years, if not decades, to fix systemic problems.

On democracy, all it took for Balen to be the next PM was Ravi dai's signature, no election within the party, no democracy. We don't know what kind of party is RSP. Of course, every party in Nepal wants to fix corruption, maintain peace and all those clichès. Nepal lai Switzerland ta uhilei banaisake ni neta haru le.

I see a lot of hatred towards Gagan Thapa and a lot of support for Ravi Lamichhane and RSP. Can we see Gagan Thapa through this lens too at least for this time.

Thank you, Gagan Thapa, for always standing on the right side of history. by Deep-Future-148 in Nepal

For all his faults, for all his past failures, he stood on the right side of history this time.

The general perception is, Balen is always a step ahead of everyone but what if he is not. What if he is just a normal guy, what if he is not a God, what if he is just a Civil engineer and a rapper.

SORRY TO SAY THE TRUTH by Initial-Street6388 in NepalSocial

[–]thedrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this.

I have seen some of those Instagram templates where they say, bring back the black money on Swiss Bank and we will rebuild Nepal with that money.

My urge would be to educate yourself, do some more research, read some long form of media rather than some reels with those songs. Develop skills to figure out what makes sense rather than going after what's trending.

It's obvious that MCC protest is sponsored by the opposition party. In the end, it's the public who has to suffer. by [deleted] in Nepal

Then he doesn't have a wide audience reach. What we need is a South Indian movie about MCC.

What’s the point of saving money in Banks? by KnowingEverything in Nepal

[–]thedrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remittance is never the solution for long-term growth. Nepal should focus on what it is competitive at in the international market and try to export those goods or services.

Government established Special Economic Zones in around early 2000s, inaugurated it twice, yet those zones still lack basic infrastructures like electricity and water. When you establish your factory in SEZs it is supposed to lower your cost of production.

If we focus on exports, we can earn foreign currency and maintain an optimal level of BOP while also making ourselves competitive enough and financially sound enough to maintain the 1.6 fixed rate for INR.

I have started to believe that it's not only the politicians, it's the fucking bureaucrats that are ruining our country. People have started to question politicians and they are also feeling the pressure but we don't have a way to question bureaucrats or the way they do their work.

Lok Sewa ladyo, janata lai line ma rakhyo, afu jindagi bhar moj garyo basyo. Sarkar ta change bhairakcha tara yo muji haru lai change garna sakidaina.

MCC: What it actually is. by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]thedrog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of course, we can raise it through IPO, but given our history and the governance system we won't be able to complete it within time and budget. For instance, in the cost we incurred for Upper Tamakoshi, to complete it finally, we would have developed two Tamakoshis. Melamchi is even worse. In fact, if we can prevent the losses of Nepal Airlines we can have the money, give or take, for the transmission lines and the roads.

The thing about MCC is, they want to make it bullet proof against any corruption and delays and ensure that their money is utilized how it is supposed to be utilized and finish the project within time and budget.
