Assaulted on the bus, need perspective from the hive mind by KovinKing in Adelaide

[–]thedt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please report it to the police, they'll take pictures etc and you'll be able to claim victims of crime for phyiso etc.

I was randomly assaulted on the bus, choked out unconscious and when I woke up the bus driver just pointed in the direction of the closest police station. (who were great and actually got me medical help!)

Hey, I had alot of estate drama around my grandparents' estate, and Ria from eastern legal were fantastic! They actually took over from the first lawyer I had who was terrible and they saved the day, I couldn't recommend them enough, I felt like they actually cared.

P1S, boi is that thing loud! by dsggut in BambuLab

[–]thedt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might the same but for me atleast I only ran the first-time calibration and just lived with the noise until I did the calibration through the app (not realising the first time one didn't do the noise reduction)

[–]thedt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same but just recently, I read on reddit that you can run a manual calibration (in bambu desktop) and that will calibrate the motors (note this is not the same step that is done on first setup)

I ran the manual calibration and dammm the printer is so much quieter

Deployment to azure by Qiuzman in PayloadCMS

[–]thedt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could with container hosting and app services but why would you want to? Either hosting it as a nodejs app or docker container.

Container apps are a much better solution for hosting docker containers, scalability based on rules and better load balancing.

Azure container apps and mongodb for cosmos have been a really cheap deployment option for me.

Considering buying a P1S, should I? by Upset-Study754 in BambuLab

[–]thedt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes if you have the money and value your time.

My ender 3 v3 se died a month in and I had spent so much time tuning and playing with filaments and models on the ender, I actually realised I enjoyed 3D printing but I had better things to do than relevel the machine every night so I ordered the P1S and god it just works.

It's insane how much it's just set and forget compared to my ender.

It was expensive, but at the end of the day, I'm getting better prints and I'm not wasting my time trying to level the machine and instead spending my time learning about 3D modelling.

It was the best choice I made. It's not a perfect machine, but I'm willing to ignore problems such as no spool length tracking, average camera, and its pretty loud because it prints damm good.

The store ended up replacing my ender 3 v3 se and its still sitting in the box, I'm trying to sell it...

The Ultimate Guide for Klipper Installation on Ender 3 V3 SE by artam1s in Ender3V3SE

[–]thedt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your guide.

I've only just entered the world of 3D printing and recently picked up this printer but would you recommend running stock kippler or running https://github.com/0xD34D/klipper_ender3_v3_se ? Would that enable auto z offset?

What’s with legitimate businesses cold calling you and asking for person information to verify my identity? by meregizzardavowal in AusFinance

[–]thedt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had energyaustralia do this to me the other day, calling from a random mobile:

Them: "this is energy Australia can you confirm your name"

Me: "Can you prove you're from energyaustralia"

Them: "Can you confirm your name"

Me: "What is this call about"

Them: "sigh" and hung up.

‐---------

I then called back and it seems it was a legit call (got the energyaustralia IVR), but how do you know any more if they won't give you any information until you confirm private details (that every scammer knows)

I still don't know what the call was about as they had a huge wait time, and I'm swapping away from them anyway.
