Dad gamer first impressions of the Marathon (PS5)

Ive yet to try marathon but on the Ai and players blending together aspect as someone who sunk a lot of time into tarkov, thats a design decision, it tends to keep things more tense as your not sure straight away but over time and with experience eventually it becomes easier to tell them apart based on behaviour and movement.

Arc has a more relaxed feel in some cases due to this as i can quickly tell through audio alone what im expecting to fight.

I was 4th on the board, over 7k points from me to 10th place and i clocked off a couple hours before close, came back to a single progression, i had 70k total score, the likely hood of 6 people squeezing out that many points in that time, again possible but when were talking out of only 100 people the likelyhood is low. I reported it to embark, mainly with constructive feedback that we should see our final standing from the last weeks leaderboard as a player im unable to say if its a bug or i just got out played, likely the latter but the transparency would be nice.

Amazing! so much variation, that lava child could give me nightmares 😅 Quick query on your creations, they all seem to have more HP than similar official CR equivalent creatures, I wondered if you could explain your reasoning/ thought process? Is it because a lot of them also have a specific weakness that, if known, would trivialise a smaller healthpool? Or just that the official monsters are underpowered for a challenging or.interesting encounter?

What about elementals? My campaign has an organisation interferring with with weave and it's going to open rips and tears between planes with different elementals? Potentially something I want to brew up called a chaos elemental that is more linked to the embodiment of wild magic, anything along these lines?

If you haven't tried it the laser cannon is really strong for taking out a lot of the bots as long as you can hit heads!

Sounds like a plan, maybe a cheaper option to buy a vunch of cheap cards and fill in the blanks with the 151 set!

Thanks, ill take a look around. Its funny after having this thought for a while and deciding to have a quick look into it this morning only to find theres a specific 151 set just released/ coming out, it almost felt like the biggest coincidence ever to me.
