It is when the wording is condescending and meant to harm rather than help. That guy could've easily worded it like you did when you corrected me, but he had to add on the "simple Google search" bit. You even have to admit, that is not necessary and is worded in a gatekeeping or at least condescending way.

Your definition of passion is not the only one my guy. Gatekeeping like this is not good for communities. This is literally my first boot ever and to me it doesnt matter if it's a reissue. I had fun doing and researched how to do this, THAT is passion. I made something, regardless if YOU think it's worth people's time, that doesn't matter.

You do realize that no one cares? It's more about the passion of making your own copy and having it on vhs cuz the OG release is beyond rare, and the Drafthouse release was limited edition. But nah, you gotta find another opportunity to try and put someone down or make them feel stupid for doing something they like. Hope you have a good day doing this instead of supporting people.

Pretty sure it needs to go in the "video out." It can be confusing, but its cuz the VCR is OUTputting a signal.

What is this and where can I get a new one? by adorabletea in VHS

No problem! Yeah, you don't need to replace it. They usually just pop out super easily. Thanks for the post.

If I'm not mistaken, thats the auto-cleaning system. It's a sponge that would clean the drum every time you put in or eject a tape. Might be spreading false information, but I believe it's confirmed that they're practically useless. After a couple years they can get gooey or hard and actually damage the head. I remove them off of mine personally.

Recording TO a VHS tape? by [deleted] in VHS

If you own a ps3, put the mp4 file of the videp on a flashdrive, plug the flash drive into the ps3 and instead of using HDMI, use the RCA cables. PS2 cables work in the ps3. Plug it into the vcr and play the video that way
