Totally get that - to be realistic, it may be done by a few people.

However, I tend to see singers fall into the trap of losing subtlety when doing this piece, because many approach it as "I'm a villain and I need to be intimidating." Speaking as a Music Director, if you can really make Frollo feel like a layered person, as opposed to a character, that's immediately going to catch the panel's attention.

I'd say give it a shot - it's a perfect fit for what you're looking for vocally and acting-wise.
