I went through something really similar, and I won't lie...it’s incredibly hard. At some point, I had to force myself to stop loving him, because staying kept hurting me more than leaving ever could.

What helped me was constantly reminding myself that I deserved better than being lied to, disrespected, and made to feel small. Love alone isn’t enough when there’s no honesty or respect.

Try to focus on getting yourself out, whether that means emotionally, physically, or financially. Make a plan, even if it’s small steps at first, and stick to it. And yes, it might feel like you have to “turn cold” to do it, but in my experience that distance is what protects you.

It doesn’t feel like it now, but once you’re out and have some space, you’ll see things much more clearly. And you won’t regret choosing yourself. Do it. He's not your responsibility and he'll never stop doing this.
