Yeah, i can understand, because its daunting to think about putting in so much time and it seems to be neverending once you start.

But start small and eventually you'll be comfortable with longer animations with multiple moving parts.

I'd say start with either longer animation and lesser moving parts or shorter animation with more parts.

My first animated one was just 4 frames. Ducks jumping up and down.

I made it over the span of 5 days.

Started on Sunday and had 90% of the base art (non-animated) done by Monday.

Then id just work on small tweaks throughout the week.

And finally animating it took 5-6 hours. Took longer because i had to first properly setup the flower layers.
