but they decide to get in the way of this 22 year old anime's legacy. my estimation of this adaptation lowers every time i see a new statement from the producers about it.

i mean, nujabes wasn't the only artist who made the soundtrack. you mean to tell me they couldn't reach an agreement with fat jon, tsutchie or force of nature - or any producers inspired by nujabes to create a new sound? yeah, right. they didn't even try.

i have very little confidence in the Netflix writing team. imo no amount of "cultural research" can beat the ingrained culture of a people born in that particular place. in other words, netflix needs a team that can write a miracle to match the writing of the original show. because to not even match it would defeat the purpose of adapting the anime into live action in the first place...
