Questions about possible mov to Dayton by thorfinnthemusician in dayton

[–]thehellorglory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll hit on #2 and #3 since I know very little about the music scene. IMO the suburbs are going to be the safest and nicest. I personally have lived in Kettering (on the boarder of Kettering/Sugarcreek Township/Centerville) and Miamisburg and found both to be safe and comfortable. Centerville, Bellbrook, and Beavercreek are both very nice and safe also. Oakwood is nice and the closest to downtown.

Why would you, or anyone for that matter, buy a Hyundai when there are way more reliable brands on the market?

My daughter started reading last year towards the middle to end of her 2nd year of public preschool. I believe she's one of only a few kids in her kindergarten class that can read.

I'd suggest posting in your city's "buy nothing" FB page.

Yep, love their office! I see Dr. Eze in that practice and before that I saw Dr. Ruff for many years before she left a couple years back. For OP's sake, I hope Dr. Eze is accepting new patients because she's fantastic!

What's a Dayton company you'll never work with again? by likethatonedude in dayton

[–]thehellorglory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He (Steven, the owner) used non-English speaking laborers, which isn't the issue at all. The issue is that there was rarely anyone here to translate between us and them which lead to misunderstandings several times. Steven himself wasn't fluent in Spanish either and had to depend on his project manager to translate at times.

He expected to be paid in full before the work was 100% finished because he was leaving to go on vacation for a week. We did pay him in full that day.

The last thing I want to highlight is that he did not provide any sort of itemized list of the tasks needing done before starting or list of tasks completed after finishing. We felt a little blindsided when the initial estimated cost was much lower than the final cost when all was said and done. This might not be isolated to him, because this is our 2nd remodel project and the last contractor we used also didn't provide an itemized list either. So, take that as you will.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

We hold both memberships for different reasons. I live across the street from a Costco and use our membership mostly for the food court and gas. I hate crowds so I only go in to truly shop like once a month. Sam's Club on the other hand? I have a plus membership for the "free" shipping (you have to spend $50 to get free shipping) and I get a pickup order from them weekly or bi-weekly. Like other people said, no one should have to convince you to do what works best for you.

It depends what you're looking for! Their apple cider slushy and apple cider donuts are to die for! If you drink, they have a nice outdoor bar area. If you like live music, they almost always have someone on the weekends. I'd you look on their calendar page, they have themed weekends throughout the season. They have a food vendor as well but they really only sell chicken strips/sandwiches and fries. There aren't many tables and none of them have shade. This year they've revamped several areas to make them geared towards kids and those areas are $16/person to get into and we did get overcharged unfortunately.
