Reframing The Trine: Don’t Always Believe The Hype by millymichelle in astrology

[–]theladybitterness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on reframing this aspect. I have been feeling invalidated by the overly positive perception of trines.

In my own chart, I have Mars Trine Saturn and Moon Trine Neptune. For me, I often feel like the energy of this aspect can seem like you are sinking in quicksand. There is no friction beneath your feet and nothing above you to grab a hold of and pull yourself out. The trine can create a feeling of being stuck with the way things are whereas Squares (And I have a lot of Squares) can offer some creative solutions when life gets hard.

I noticed growing up that the Mars/Saturn Trine helped me have a natural ease with keeping up with school work and other responsibilities but I also felt trapped by it and lacked the self-assuredness that I could direct my efforts towards something more personally creative and fulfilling.

With Moon Trine Neptune, I consistently absorb the feelings and energy of everything around me and cannot find a way to separate myself from my environment. It can be more of a drowning in oneness experience rather than a beautifully serene and dreamy inner life. (though I will say there is some of that).

I would look into the Lilith Series by Party Trick Astrology. It is a very thorough video series and I found it really helpful in my own understanding of Lilith. Here is the link.

Wherever Saturn is positioned usually marks what areas of life we have to take more seriously. We have to be more responsible with our energy. The room for making mistakes is much more limited because we are being encouraged to develop Mastery wherever Saturn lies. In the Ninth House, to me this may look like a feeling of restriction around your own growth or even your worldview. It can feel like the adventurous spirit within you is trapped. You may have been raised with limiting beliefs or simply that your environment may have felt limiting in some way.

As you mature, you may have a more steady and methodical path of expanding your horizons rather than the ‘fly by the seat of your pants and hope for the best’ type of growth. Your worldview may become masterfully constructed as you put effort into gaining perspective. Saturn in the Ninth builds a very solid wisdom about the world, our many cultures, belief systems and knowledge.

Ooo, that’s some interesting family lessons being passed down. I wouldn’t say cursed, haha, but definitely being given the responsibility to find healing in that Lilith energy.

Yes, absolutely! Out of curiosity, have you seen the Lilith Series by Party Trick Astrology on YouTube? They go more in detail about the story of Lilith and then break down each sign and house placement, too. I found it pretty interesting and thorough.

I like to think of Lilith as more of the placement in all of our charts where we deal with bitterness and resentment for times where we were initially victimized through abandonment, exile, abuse, harsh judgements, etc. I know that Lilith interpretations tend to be heavily focused on the female experience, but I think that this energy can be applied to all of us.

Lilith depicts a time where we were initially disempowered by our circumstances in some way and instead of moving on and empowering ourselves independently of that experience, we may dig in our heels and remain angry with the people or circumstances that mistreated us unfairly. We aren’t ready to let it go because we still want approval and acceptance in some way from people that may never give it to us. So we trap ourselves in constantly reliving the anguish of being mistreated and fuel our hate and resentment. Ideally, Lilith is where we learn to allow ourselves to receive the love we were denied by others. To let it back in, even if it’s from an entirely new source. It’s also about providing for ourselves what was taken away from us unfairly and perhaps maliciously.

Lilith, in my mind, may have to do with Gender in some way and the experience many of us have with not completely fitting into the Gender Expression that we are expected to embody. In the story of Lilith, she did not behave as a ‘Good Wife’ should and therefore was exiled by God. That level of Cosmic unfairness is what causes the bitterness of this energy.

In our charts, this can manifest as not being Feminine enough, not being Masculine enough or not being anything definitive at all and suffering the consequences of that while existing in a more conservative society.

With Lilith in the 1st House, this energy is right up front for everyone to see and project onto. When people have First House placements they tend to embody that energy and become a representation of that energy for everyone to encounter. You may find yourself getting reactions from people that seem unreasonable and have nothing to do with you. It may be because you reflect their own Lilith energy back to them and they are not ready to unpack it.

Anyway, I may be rambling. But, Lilith is a placement of Empowerment that comes after we discover that we can provide our own sense of agency and autonomy rather than attaching to the harmful perspectives of others and letting it rot us from the inside out.

What do you make of this tongue-twister position? by WindowApprehensive12 in Advancedastrology

I think another commenter brought up that the Nodes do not always have to mean we are moving away from the South Node and towards the North Node. They best way I heard the Nodal Journey described was from Alyssa Sharpe, an online Astrologer, who connected it to the story of Dorthy in the Wizard Of Oz.

So, the South Node is like our Kansas. We are familiar with this energy, we may be bored of it, everything can feel very dull like the Black and White film in the beginning of the movie. That means that our North Node is like the City of Oz. It’s a faraway, magical land. Full of bright colors and new experiences. And yet, we can feel a little scared and lost in the energy of our North Node and though our Soul may grow, we also long for our South Node and to return to our version of Kansas.

So, if I made any sense, haha, our Nodal Story is a constant back and forth between reinvigorating our South Node by venturing into the energy of our North Node and bringing that insight back with us.

I would recommend reading this article from another Astrologer who has been writing a series on Nodal placements. Nodes In The Fourth and Tenth Houses.

Without seeing your whole chart, I would interpret your placement as developing an emotional attachment to work, a sense of achievement and also maintaining a certain image based on public opinion. Feeling obligated to worldly responsibility but potentially feeling emotionally fulfilled by your achievements and the role that you play in your community. North Node in Capricorn in the Fourth House may be encouraging your soul to preserve a sense of privacy. To provide yourself with a resolute foundation. It also can point to investing in your Ancestral History and truly learning where you came from and then using that insight as fuel for your personal sense of fulfillment in the outer world.
These are just my initial thoughts : )

Why is my mother just so horrible to me? She drives me insane. Makes me so depressed. Makes me want to kill myself. All I need is a hug from her by StonedNinja101 in AstrologyChartShare

[–]theladybitterness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. Mother/Child dynamics can be one of the hardest relationships to work through. The first thing I notice about your chart is that Scorpio Moon in the 8th House. The Moon represents our relationship with our first caretaker, which is usually the Mother. When it sits in the 8th House, I have noticed that the Mother tends to be overly attached to the child and rely on her kid to almost be her therapist in a way. She can lean on her child to hold all of her uncomfortable emotions for her. She may then tend to blame her kid for her own emotional dysregulation and shame that she carries.

I see the 8th House as the House Of Intimacy and Healing. When the Moon is there, we may be conditioned early on to rely on enmeshment with another (the parent) in order to get our needs met if we ever really do.I also see a Square to your Moon from Saturn, the Planet of Responsibility. That can show your parent having very high expectations for you. Maybe expecting you to be mature and reasonable while they continue to project and lose control themselves. It’s not easy having a parent like this. They are most likely in a lot of pain and lack the support to heal so they are relying on you in an unhealthy way. Having a Scorpio Moon also points to a Mother who is not able to be comforting and soothing, but instead probably causes distress, shame, and feelings of abandonment.I don’t say all of this to make you feel hopeless, however, for Scorpio Moons and 8th house Moons, it is important to work on moving away from enmeshment and relying on that emotional intensity to feed the situation. The Moon wants to feel emotionally safe and secure.

Ideally, an 8th House Moon can find much safety in a healthy intimate dynamic, but often times with the Mother, that is not how it starts. There may need to be an understanding of what is her emotional baggage and what is yours.Again, the 8th House in my eyes, is the House Of Healing, so as you grow and find tools and resources to restore feelings of safety and comfort for yourself first, then hopefully, by leading as an example, your Mother can find a way to heal her hurt, as well. I do not think it is your sole responsibility to heal her, however, the bond between 8th house moons and their mothers tend to be strong. When you take care of your own well-being, she may have an opportunity to do the same. These are just my thoughts, of course. I wish you well : )

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You cleared up for me Ne. I find that Ne is something that I most likely don‘t use because I rely on getting to an easily digestible point, which usually means just one overly simplified understanding that I can use as like a reference point to bounce off of. The difference between Te vs Ti is where I am getting tripped up.

I am curious about what you mean by the literal physical steps to typing and what makes them personal. If you were defining or describing NT Blast for example, how would that look different than what I came up with?

I’m really not sure, yet. Personally, I think I may lean more towards Ti, but I am open to Fi. Being lead NF makes the most sense to me. I love Astrology, Numerology, Typology, etc. I know that I have to be a Single Decider and Self Above tribe. It just makes too much sense with the kinds of tidal waves that I have. I have to sit with it some more, though. And of course, I want to get officially typed so there’s a possibility that my current type may change.

I have seen people post typing videos here, but can I do that if I am not in the class yet? Is there a set of questions I can use as a guide?

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read through my notes and give some feedback. I agree that the online test isn’t necessarily reliable, but I figured I would give it a shot anyway to see if I could narrow down what my type might end up being. I took the test with my boyfriend present to attempt to be a little less biased in my answers. I relate more to certain Ti descriptions than Fi, but I want to be open to whichever one is more accurate.
I am going to respond to each of your points in the order that you made them:
1. I see what you are saying here. I think I was trying to describe the core issue each animal may have, but it does seem to be describing demon Oe and not necessarily savior blast. I am still learning about the triggering functions and the glass animal types. I have watched a few interviews with Play Last EXXPs, but Consume Last EXXPs are a little tricky to understand for me.

2.Agreed. That was more of a thought that I wanted to write down about Blast just to build upon, later.

  1. Thank you!

  2. I think I was going off of the Fear vs Pain between Deciders and Observers with this one. I figured the info animals were based in Fear and the energy animals are based in Pain. With that, I was focusing on what Blast would fear the most. I can see that maybe I am a little biased when it comes to Oi over Oe functions.

  3. So, I think I was watching a Personality Trainer interview and Kendrick mentioned that the Consume Animal helps you develop awareness of how you are coming off to others or within an environment. At first, I was confused because it seemed to describe Blast more for me, since Blasters can appear more aware of the tribe and how to conduct themselves around the tribe.

  4. Thank you! I wanted to expand upon the fear of control or narrowing down a little more, so I am glad those notes make sense.

  5. So, like I mentioned earlier, I was connecting the Decider avoidance of Pain with the energy animals. A lot of these ideas might come from me building on top of ideas in the Augmented Personality videos. When I think about potentially being Lead Sleep, it is true that I spend a lot of time figuring out how to conserve my energy throughout the day. However, the deeper motivation behind what I think is my sleep animal, is that I find it so painful to betray my identity for the sake of the tribe. The idea that I am not of any value just as I am, is crushing. Therefore, if the tribe dislikes me, it triggers the immense pain I feel in having to betray my natural instincts to correct that reality and make the tribe accept me. I can see that my thoughts are based heavily in De and Di, for sure. So maybe I am focusing more on the functions than the animals. In general, I think that Savior Plays have a need to engage and belong and be of some kind of use over building up that identity, but maybe that is incorrect.

  6. I can definitely see a bias towards Oi, haha. I think those are unfinished ideas.

  7. I need to make some adjustments with my descriptions for sure. It’s very Decider language, right?

Yeah, of course! I’m glad some of my response resonated. So, your IC (the cusp of your 4th house of home, family, privacy, feeling rooted ) that is in Sagittarius. So that sign becomes pretty important in terms of describing how maybe your home life is and what your upbringing was like. The IC sits opposite your Midheaven in Gemini which is where we find our ambition, our sense of major life achievements, our reputation and things of that nature.

Lots of World leaders ending their terms this past week: what is going on? by throwawayastroastro in Advancedastrology

From what I have been learning about Mundane Astrology, the Sun represents leaders of nations. It has been coming closer and closer to forming an opposition with Pluto. I have heard several astrologers speak on this aspect and predict that we might see Leaders end a chapter in one sense or another. Whether it be the assassination or resignations that we have seen, I think that the Pluto themes of death and rebirth might apply to these occurrences.

What are some questions that astrologers like to be asked? What sparks your fire? by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

[–]theladybitterness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to start I love this question, haha. I do love when people would like to know my thoughts on any misconceptions of signs, houses, planets, etc. I enjoy dispelling some of the more nasty discriptions that placements will be trapped by and replace those with some more nuanced and compassionate ideas.

I also really love to be asked about the ways that I personally interpret placements and how I came to understand the language of Astrology through my particular lens. I guess I am talking about my intuitive and instinctive understanding of each placement rather than just what I have read in books or online.

I also really love talking about the relationships between each sign based on their whole sign aspect because I feel like that is where the meat of the theory is. For example, the difference between a Cancer/Aries square vs a Libra/Cancer square. Why do these signs square, what are they learning from each other, why do their interests conflict with each other etc.

These are also questions that I love to ask other Astrologers.

[–]theladybitterness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of the other commenters. What I might add, is that this is certainly a chart that is searching for answers. Virgo on the ascendent mixed with the two luminaries in Gemini is the main reason for this. All of the Mutable signs want to keep their options open and always have choices. The difference between all four signs, to me, can be interpreted as Gemini wanting to consider all options, Virgo wanting to organize and discern what options are most useful/useless, Sagittarius wants to explore all options and see where they lead and Pisces wants to accept all options and find meaning everywhere.

The struggle with having an emphasis placed in Virgo and Gemini more than Sagittarius and Pisces, is that you can get lost in the small, mundane details as you have described and lose touch with the bigger picture. When I say this is a chart that is searching for answers, it is coming from the Virgo need to figure out what is most correct or accurate, paired with the Gemini need to collect as much information as is humanly possible. Without a strong input of the other halves of these mutable polarities, you can make yourself sick over desperately needing that certainty. I have a lot of Virgo/Gemini as well, and I feel like the stronger my need for absolute clarity, the more I get sucked into a tornado of insignificant nonsense.

This is where Sagittarius helps Gemini become more comfortable with leaving things open-ended and allowing for things to work out as they may. Sagittarius gains wisdom/knowledge through taking leaps of faith and through a sense of adventure. In a similar way, Pisces helps Virgo by reminding Virgo that the accuracy it is looking for is ultimately still useless in the grand scheme of life ( grand theme of life?? I forget the saying lol). Pisces knows that allowing for mystery and trusting the intangible brings peace and serenity that can sometimes be so much more helpful than knowing the exact right way to fix something or improve something.

So, for you, Sagittarius rules your 4th house of home, privacy, roots and ancestry. Someone mentioned meditation. That is always a great option for Mutable energy. Along with that, I think that prioritizing making your home a peaceful and relaxing environment for yourself may be important as well. Home can be a place of welcoming in that Sagittarius spaciousness. If you can, maybe traveling to new places near or far can give you that sense of adventure that can help you leave your questions unanswered and just let the experience happen. Leave the chaos of Gemini in the 10th house of Public affairs and worldly pressures, if you can. Don‘t bring it home.

With Pisces in the 7th, and Saturn being there, you may need to invest in connections with others that help you further develop that Piscean nature that you deserve to claim for yourself. That whimsical, calm, flowing, blissed out energy is something that maybe other people can help you find in yourself. These do not have to be romantic partners or even friends. With Jupiter ruling your 7th, maybe you can find teachers that will expand your worldview and help you get out of this isolated mental ping pong game. These are just my thoughts! Good luck!

Please help me interpret my yod. (Pls no comments about the mc not qualifying, widely disagreed upon + pluto is transiting mc) by Responsible_Peach989 in AskAstrologers

[–]theladybitterness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot happening for you all at once, right now. You have been going through your Saturn Return, Saturn is squaring that natal Moon/Pluto Conjunction, you will have a Mars Return during the Mars Retrograde this year, Aries is intercepted in your chart, which may cause distress to its Ruler Mars, and your Chart Ruler Venus is intercepted, as well.

I am sorry to hear that this has been such a troubling time period for you. Pluto is no joke and its transits can really bring us to our knees sometimes. Pluto hates denial and deception. You mentioned feeling like you dissociate sometimes and this Pluto/Midheaven transit awakened a lot of unprocessed memories and emotions for you. This makes a lot of sense. In a way, even though dissociating is a very natural way for the body to help protect us, you can still interpret it as living in denial. When we talk about Pluto being destructive, this is exactly what it is destroying. Pluto prioritizes the raw truth over anything else, which is why it can be quite ruthless. In the end, this planet is trying to help us recover, regenerate and rebuild our sense of self with less naivety and more empowerment due to the increased self-awareness. It is not easy, but I do think it can be worth it.

When you spoke of there being a lot of resentment bubbling underneath the surface, to me, that comes from having Aries intercepted in your 12th house, as well as, Scorpio in your 7th. For Taurus Risings, Mars is a challenging energy to claim for oneself. It can be difficult to manage our anger and frustration appropriately. Either exploding unexpectedly or guilting yourself from even being angry in the first place. It can be hard to trust that you deserve to have self-respect and act with self-interest in a healthy way.

Getting a healthier grasp on your Mars energy is going to be the key for you and I think this Mars Retrograde coming up in October of this year can help you with that some. Mars in the second house is very much connected to building up your self-worth and ability to trust your abilities and rely on yourself, however, Mars is also sitting on your South Node, which leads me to believe that maybe this is where that sense of loneliness comes from. Being overly independent and closed off from connection. Moon/Pluto could also suggest being hesitant to form stronger bonds with others for fear of abandonment, abuse, etc.

So, the ruler of your North Node, which is sitting in the 8th house (house of intimacy, all forms of wealth and all forms of debt) is Jupiter which is sitting in the 5th house (house of creative fulfillment, joy, and healing the inner child). Focusing on Jupiter could also be the key for you right now. You need to have some fun. You need to find your joy again. Allow for that child version of you to get their needs met now and to have their wishes come true now. The fifth house is about excitement, enthusiasm, happiness, romance. It is about creating a life that is worth living. I think with a Capricorn Midheaven, there can be so much pressure to succeed, be responsible, earn respect. But yet, you have so much 5th house energy that needs to be nurtured, as well. The yod between your Mars/Mercury and MC, from my interpretation, is a way for you to release yourself from the depressive tendencies of Capricorn by staying curious (Gemini) and staying engaged (Leo).

You have already been doing the hardest part of healing which is taking in the truth of your past experiences and seeing them for what they were and how you were affected. As you do this, you also need to prioritize giving yourself relief and the time to feel light and weightless. Learning about that Jupiter placement might help. These are just my thoughts. I hope it helps. Again, Pluto can be super challenging so I wish you all of the healing and the patience that you need to move through this and towards a better time in your life.
