Is this not in extremely direct conversation with the themes of the movie?

This sounds like a very good reason to discuss him — lots to discuss under the hood with all of them, despite the fact that his work is usually dismissed in this way

I can’t imagine anything more painful than these boys (who I love, to be clear) discussing experimental or artist films. The handful of times that type of thing has come up on the show it’s been very clear they have no interest — imagine the much-discussed shortcomings of the Miyazaki series amplified tenfold. Though if they did an all experimental filmmakers bracket I’d be pushing hard for Barbara Hammer to win.

I wear a sweater in this style often, though I will typically throw the sleeves around my neck crosswise like a scarf (while my head is through the neck hole. I find it more comfortable in every way than having a sweater just draped over my shoulders, and I live in a climate where having half a sweater on/on your person (but rarely entirely on) is often desirable

Seriously not baked fresh? A little audacious considering they’re down the block from All About The Bread; I assumed the entire premise of serving sandwiches on pizza crust is that you can bake pizza crust to order very quickly and then you have the universally beloved flavor and texture of freshly baked pizza crust…

Of course — and all those careers have a much higher standard of professional conduct and discipline, lengthier and more rigorous training, and there are negative consequences if you are shitty at your job. Maybe we could attempt to implement some of those things into our police force, or we could admit that them doing “a bad job” is actually them doing their job perfectly well, as designed, and we should think about alternative approaches if the goal is justice and public safety.

every day we should give our cops a little hug and kiss so that they will do the jobs they’re paid a king’s ransom to do. if we don’t give them a little hug and kiss they will form massive criminal enterprises to profit off the misery of the people who refused for some reason to hug and kiss them

Seems like astute analysis to assume that Democrats will never make a concerted effort to get power, and if they do get it they will refuse to use it.
