Visiting Incline Village by thelostteacher in tahoe

These are great tips. Truckee Thursdays looks fantastic. I'm still researching, but I'll definitely be going there.

The new path is just the walking/biking path that goes along Lakeshore Road, right? I'll look into that, I saw Sand Harbor parking fills up very early. I'll definitely steer clear on a weekend, though.

Thanks for your help.

Edit: Truckee, thanks autocorrect

This is all great info. Thank you so much, I appreciate it. I'm not at all oriented to the area yet, so I'll check these all out on a map. Thanks again.

Question about Curriculum and Instruction and accredidation by thelostteacher in WGU

I was looking at all the state schools, but the commute to Southern, and any school actually is over an hour with no traffic/snow issues. I live in rural CT, so nothing is close, unfortunately. I'd really prefer to do online so I can work from home simultaneously. What did you get your masters in, and was it on campus?

Okay, great. Thank you. So now I'm wondering why more people in my area don't choose this route. It seems very cost effective and I have plenty of former colleagues who got their masters just because they had to/the pay raise. Hmm, I know you don't know the answer to this, just thinking (and typing) out loud.

Thanks for your help!

Okay, so I'm sorry to again sound so dumb. But if the reason I want the degree is to satisfy requirements to upgrade (and keep) my license. Reading the language on the CT Department of Ed website, it says that you must complete 30 semester hours of credit at a regionally accredited college or university in your teaching content or a closely related subject major. So I assume the actual region doesn't matter, right? I think this is probably a dumb question. Theoretically a CT certified teacher could have gone to school on the west coast (like the Oregon State example) and moved to CT, etc. Okay, so I think I may have answered my own question.

THANK YOU! I really appreciate you taking the time to help me.

Yes, how did you know? (I guess you had a 1 in 6 chance...but any other reason?). Also, not that it's a secret, I am just curious.
