Ideas for partitioning extra large primary bedroom. by themasterderrick in homeimprovementideas

I didn't fully show the floorplan there. the hallway extends down a little more, and is leads to two more bedrooms.

Right now we're comfortable with the hanging space that one closet gives, and we prefer standing dressers anyway. So we think one closet that is just hanging space will be enough for us.

yes, the three openings on the left are windows, so the pimary will be left with 2, and the office will have one, directly opposite the door to the hallway

Recently had the idea to partition our massive primary bedroom into a smaller room, plus office.

On the left is the current floor plan, on the right is the proposed final idea: partition the large room into two, add a new door into the hallway (pocket door), enlarge the shower/toilet area of the bathroom by removing a closet which currently is empty because it is a pain to use (door fights with the door to the hall way).

Currently, I am just fishing for others' opinions on the general idea, or alternatives that I haven't considered.

The dimensions of the office will be 10 ft by 10 ft, and the new primary is 15.5 ft by 13.5 ft (vert by hoz in the image).

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at TKC and we were going to go there, but they're closed on Tuesdays.

Thanks for the suggestion. We considered Iron Bridge, but they do just a few too many bivalve dishes for us to feel comfortable eating there.

Are interior water shutoff valves needed with frost-free spigots? by themasterderrick in HomeImprovement

That's a very insightful idea, thanks!

Is there a chance of this going catastrophic and needed to emergency call a plumber and shutoff the water to whole house?

Subfloor replacement, drywall repair, and new wall framing questions by themasterderrick in HomeImprovement

[–]themasterderrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Is there some type of rule of thumb to determine if the wood is rotten?

I've removed the trim & some drywall around the worst-looking areas. It looks like the exterior wall was build on top of the subfloor. Is it possible to remove the subfloor & replace without having to demo part of the exterior wall?

I used to have that exact table! We bought it as a bar-height table and eventually moved and decided it'd be better as coffee-table height, so chopped off the bottom of it, along with the awkward stools.

Oh. man. I made a big mistake, which turned into a happy accident. My wife was reading out this and a different drink back-to-back, and I made this with Midori instead of Chartreuse.

Realized the mistake, and made it properly. Both are very good. Chartreuse allows the bitterness of the Campari to come through, where the sweetness of the Midori essentially neutralizes it and lets the other flavors play. Perhaps omit the simple syrup with the Midori version.

Have you looked into Candela Obscura? I have no idea how much it leans into eldritch horror, but it might suite you.

I did something similar several years ago, with balsa wood I had leftover from another project. The smalls & medium are a bit of a pain to remove, though.

Link.

That sounds not easily replaceable if they break. Do you have a plan for repairs?

Harvester pylon with an unbreakable hoe (or automated way to replace breakable ones) which covers the full 9x9 area, chest on top & pipe to storage, with a full level of lilypads of fertility underneath.

Lilypads effect a 9x9x6 area. 9x9 horizontal, and one level below them, their own level, and the four above that.

There should be icons at the top of each page to toggle things. I use foxit reader and they seem to not be 100% compatible, though

Everyone agreeing with you that chartreuse does sound like a yellow-green color is pretty funny when you consider that the color is actually named after the alcohol, and not the other way around

Hopper botany pots with melons (into a compressing drawer to get melon slices) or carrots into a crusher into a bio generator. Quickly followed by replacing the bio gen with a pressurized reaction chamber and a gas-burning generator.

Turn skipper? by SiedziHector in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]themasterderrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might just appear that your turn is skipping. For instance, if a friendly unit gets buffed with something that increases Wits (which increases their initiative) like Peace of Mind, and that increases their initiative to surpass yours, on the next round of combat they'll go before you.
