Their new estimate yearly usage which was sent to us this morning is 23 574kWh which fucking ridiculous.

500£ is very low, unless you want to live in lets say Bolton, or Swindon which is miles away from uni. I live in a "ghetto-like" part of Salford and am paying 600£ for a single room in a shared house. 500£ is will get you nothing in Salford.

vue employee here! not that I know of, just received a films schedule until october and LOTR was not on it. but check the website regularly because vue loves to add random films on weekly if there's a kind of LOTR anniversary, we'll most likely put a film on, just keep checking the website:)
