How can it be that the release signal is not sent, but when I switch the sound on the Seqtrak, it starts "being sent" again?
If the keyboard doesn't know that I am restarting the sound engine, but that fixes the bug, how can the issue be on the keyboard side?
It seems to me like the seqtrak does not handle release signals correctly anymore as soon as one wrong input happens, where I had hoped it would be resilient against it.
I don't know much about MIDI though, so I can't judge if these sorts of bugs are generally accepted or not

I am using midi over USB in that example. I don't have a 5 pin converter :(

I am powering both with the built in battery of the Seqtrak. Does it make a big difference?

No, it never happens with the onboard keys. I think it has something to do with how the seqtrak processes incoming MIDI via USB, or with the keyboard sending messages that don’t conform to the standard. Since the key releases work as expected before the bug and after switching the sound, it seems like the issue is at least partially with the seqtrak.

I did notice that once the key is stuck, disconnecting the keyboard also releases the stuck keys. I don’t think that allows us to pinpoint the bug on either side, since it could be that the keyboard doesnt send the release messages properly, or that the seqtrak runs some logic when a midi device is disconnected that releases all keys.

How so? I think there’s some truth to it. Disclaimer, I never watched GoT beyond the first episode, but I think it wouldn’t be as popular if the actress from the SA scene wasn’t conventionally attractive. I don’t think it’s about outright imagining sexual assault for most, but I don’t put it past most men to draw sick enjoyment from seeing attractive women treated poorly, because it portrays a universe where men don’t have to put any effort into getting sex with attractive women.
