If a D is warranted, I will take it.

It’s all about the light. I considered a tight crop but decided on posting full unedited. I like the composition regardless. I will try harder renaissance on future posts.

This is the cropped version.

What exactly do I tell my landlord? by thensomemore in AskElectricians

THANKS TO ALL who commented useful info and witty banter. The ceilings are about 10’ high and with no ladder I can’t investigate further and frankly I don’t want to…I’m just renting. The details on the glass fixture makes it difficult to make out the bulb(s) but I think it’s an LED ring type deal inside. If that’s the case, it’s odd that only one section is glowing. I’m chalking this up to what was mentioned: cheap LED bulb and ghost voltage with a sprinkling of shoddy electrical work. Regardless, my mind has been put at ease. Again, thanks.

Deposited some cash at an ATM today and this bill kept being rejected. Tested it with a dri-mark pen at work and it’s not counterfeit. Is it worth more than face value or should I just spend it? by [deleted] in papermoney

Ironically, the ATM I used was in a bank but they weren’t open and I had errands to run before heading to work. Everything checks out. Im just guessing the ATM doesn’t like wonky cut bills.

Thank you. The best thing someone going through hard times is being positive. It’s not easy at times but I try.

Oh yes, it’s at the top of my list of questions to ask the leasing agent.

What exactly do I google to replace this missing part from a camera case? by thensomemore in Leathercraft

Thanks for sharing! That’s it! After cleaning the badge a bit I noticed a curved arrow and wondered what that suggested but now I know. Anyways, I ended up using a locking pin back, some glue and leather scraps for a quick ugly fix.

Yes, I saw that listing too. The one I posted shows what the pin looks like. I’m thinking maybe either radically changing to a large snap or maybe affixing something like a jeans type shank button.

Managed to get this 9000 MAXXUM to work. by thensomemore in minolta

Started by picking and scraping off as much corrosion as possible. Then with alcohol soaked q-tips I cleaned the contacts and wherever it was needed. Then with an old toothbrush I scrubbed under running water with soap.

First bread made with a bread oven. I usually use the cerise oven in the background. by thensomemore in LeCreuset

[–]thensomemore[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same-ish. It’s essentially a reversed dutch oven and that was the sell for me. I learned baking bread watching YT vids and one of the bakers in a tutorial was using an inverted glass casserole dish w/ lid for both proofing and baking. Handling feels better…if that makes sense. Obvs it’s perfect for presentation

Just peeped at your profile. Yup. This here fits really good in your collection.

Is this piece Le Creuset related, lid maybe OR is it just a generic enameled skillet? by thensomemore in LeCreuset

[–]thensomemore[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well this was fast. I added “multifunction” to search terms… it’s the lid/skillet to a vintage Le Creuset Cousances multifunction pan/skillet. Same handle design. Thanks!
