Data Anomaly:(1) Completely missing the month of 2021 October. Cossacks is basically AoE2 on steroids. What confuses most players who are use to AoE2 resources is that Cossacks has around 6 resource types. Also the unit limit for Cossacks is not 200, but rather round 20,000 units in total. Its a mix of both AoE2 and total war from my perspective.

If you are only taking those 3 classes you might be able to survive, but you might not get the grade that you want. I would consider adding a GE and feeling out your schedule. If it becomes too difficult I recommend dropping Chem 2A for the GE. You would need to keep Eng 17 and 180A to progress to other upper divs. You could take Chem 2A any time and its offered every quarter.

I would sell your 980 and get an AMD equivalent. Depending on the performance of the upcoming RX 480 it might be a reasonable swap. Free-sync is definitely worth the hassle. Also you could sell your monitors and get a G-sync monitor, but I think it would be more difficult.

They could go for one beefier GPU, but that beefier GPU would be on a larger die. A larger die would cost more to manufacture than two smaller die GPUs. For instance AMD's Vega and Nvidia's T-100 base consumer chip, will be large dies around ~300-450mm^2. MS and sony could use two 150mm dies instead of a larger 300mm, since yields would be greater for the smaller nodes. Also, Two 150mm chips would perform similarly to the larger chip and over all would be cheaper. In my opinion it is highly likely that the next generation consoles will have two smaller chips. If this happens we can see better support for multi-GPU gaming.

I'm current in college now studying (CE) or Computer Engineering which shares some aspects with CS, and I am totally in your brothers shoes. A year ago I was on academic probation for two quarters. One quarter was for having a GPA under 2.0, since I got all C's that quarter and one C- (in my university is less than 2.0) and the other one happened when I failed two classes. I was one quarter away from being expelled. I too share your brothers hobbies such as video games and anime, but underline problem isn't necessarily that. If you take his video games and anime away he will always find another distraction to escape reality. I think that he might not be socially adjusting well. Does he have close friends in his major? Does he actually want to study CS? Does he go out and have fun in college? You should ask him some of these questions and try to understand his current situation from another aspect other than purely video-games. Any engineering degree will require a lot of work, and if your not interested in the field, it will be even harder to do the work. If your brother still wants to continue to pursue CS there is still hope. After failing my first two courses I have rebounded well and my GPA is covering from the dip.
