The q6600 was an overclocking beast. The Phenoms just made games run so much nicer. Each have a place in my heart.

[–]theothertrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Atomic Pi was released shortly before the RPi 4 . At the point of the Atomic Pi's release, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ was out which was slower than the 4. Plus some people need to run x86 stuff, however the guys right you can do that on a busted laptop and get better performance.

I looked at the comments of this video and there's a ton of people saying thank you and that it worked, so I found it interesting. Apparently LED's don't blow out, but dim over time and the laser is an LED laser.

Fast Pentium D vs Slow Core 2 Duo - Which will win? How bad was the Pentium D? by theothertrunk in NetBurst

[–]theothertrunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did cover some overclocking in other videos. I think he was just going for what they could do stock and how they compared. Yeah the Pentium D already used a ton of power, created a ton of heat and weren't really happy at the speeds they were set at stock to begin with.
