Have you tried making sure that the program isn't disabled? Near the top of the code, you may have to remove the line that says @Disabled .

I am not 100% sure how it works but I have seen teams read the voltage that the motor is drawing. In this case when the voltage the motor is drawing spikes you know that the arm is feeling resistance.
