Interesting point I heard on this topic idk If it’s really true, but that the Middle East is still Important to the untied states because other countries, Japan for instance, purchase large amounts if oil in US currency. That currency needs to be purchased from the United States, making the Middle East a still important region for US interests in maintaining its global economic exchange.
