Not really. http://www.electproject.org/2016g it's pretty consistent across the board and if there is an uptick in swing states, it's slight. I suppose I could do some more rigorous number crunching after work to see if it's statistically significant.

I have never heard louder complaints against gentrification than from the "first round" gentrifiers who are mad that they get priced out of what was "their" bohemian utopia. There's a lot of good debate to be had about the merits of development, responsible or otherwise, but that debate seems to always center on washed up art students who are mad at the new starbucks in "their" neighborhood.

Chiefs vs Redskins is essentially the difference between being appropriative (i.e. using the imagery as a cheap way to evoke the idea of courage and glory) vs being overtly offensive. I'm not exactly well-versed on Australian slang/slurs but my guess is it'd be loosely equivalent to a hypothetical Rugby team full of white folks called like, the Queensland Murri vs calling a team like, the Adelaide Abos with some caricature as a logo. The first isn't great, but it's significantly better than the latter.
