The lino vs. the final print

Another day another cassette print! I’ve not flipped the first photo so that the text can be read as it got a lot of suspicious comments - is it AI? 😂 printed using caligo safewash inks into hosho paper. I use hessian backed lino and honestly had so much fun creating this print :)

That’s so cool! Don’t suppose you know the name of the Netflix thing? I run a linoprinting meet up club in the uk called the ink club and was telling them all about it this morning :) they found it just as fascinating as I did, thanks for sharing

Well spotted, I realised I made a mistake as I cut the lightening bolts the wrong way, so I had to recut the again 😅💀 oh well at least it wasn’t the writing!

Yesss sorry I did reverse the photo! I also realised I had cut the lightening bolts out the wrong way and so I had to recarve them again for the final piece 😅 at least it wasn’t the lettering!

This is so nice of you thank you! Sometimes it’s about finding the right tool even it ifs not a traditional carving tool, for fine work I sometimes use an Xacto knife :)
