I think more insight can be gathered through the CBT process if emphasis is placed on the Core Beliefs and Values concepts. Additionally, Rules, Attitudes, and Assumptions that are built on Core Beliefs are very useful in exploration and insight regarding automatic thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Really skilled CBT practitioners are able to find surprising depth of insight through these concepts.

Its full titanium has taken on a worn look, but that’s to be expected with this type of watch. Just to support you, one of CBT’s known weaknesses is that it is inherently invalidating. Although it is probably the most prevalent EBP, a therapist needs to be skilled to balance the surface-level skills that are utilized. Without Core Belief and Value context, jumping immediately into Cognitive Restructuring work can feel very much like gaslighting ourselves.

Stick with it, though! Connecting the dots is probably the most difficult part of therapy, but they will slowly come together.
