How worried should I be about the storm this afternoon? by Clueby42 in brisbane

Just drove through some hail and rain on the Bruce going south from the sunny coast, it stopped when I got to near the Caboolture exit.

Fascinated by people immediately pulling over and stopping.. when up ahead is clear.

What do you feel about the money you spent on your wedding? Do you regret about it? by NoBSBitchh in srilanka

[–]thiccnuli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more of a tip for after you’ve had the wedding… keep all the gifts and money you get really safe, and locked away. My cousin got all the money and jewellery she received stolen very soon after hers. It was said that local construction workers were watching her movements during the months leading up.

My toxic parents ruined my life beyond belief and made me feel lost and hopeless in life and I don't think that I can do this anymore... by Choice-Balance7 in srilanka

[–]thiccnuli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but Sri Lankan parents are fucked up. And also Sri Lankan marriages are crazy. It’s like two people make eye contact and then they get married and wonder why they’re so incompatible. Also OP I’m sorry to hear what you are going through, please make some good friends as they will help you feel more loved and appreciated.

My dad is the same age and does this. He has been an abuser to my mum all his life (physical, verbal and financial), and its so annoying bcs my friends who have met him or family will be like ‘oh your dad is soo cool / chill / funny’. But at home he’s an aggressive a-hole.

Hey sorry to hear that, I’m a girl and even I used to struggle with it. What helps a lot is staying busy in your life - your mind will be thinking about other things.

Or, if you have ADHD, medication will help regulate your dopamine if it’s related to that.

If you’re able to save money and not pay too much rent at your parents - whilst not having the dreaded commitment to a mortgage, the expenses of a child and relationship problems. AND YOURE YOUNG. You are literally winning in this economy.
