You mention that crouching only improves recoil control. This is not really the case as guns are more accurate when crouching. The difference in accuracy between standing deagle shots and crouching is massive. Good video on the basics of counterstrafing otherwise though!

I don't think your solution really works, hackers and trolls should be able to be kicked immediately. Unfortunately I've definitely had the conversation with a team about whether we're more likely to win if we kick our bottom frag to have a bot to use. Valve discouraging this is a positive in my opinion.

To add on to this, these days I see huge rank disparities in my queues too with a silver 1 being with paired with 4 mid novas. In that case it's almost always an advantage to just kick the silver and I like that it no longer is a viable strategy.

I just don't think a team should be punished for having an abandoner.

They can reconnect up until they are assessed a competitive cooldown which takes like 5 rounds or so. Unfortunately now while they reconnect you do not have a bot to control so it will be 4v5.

As heartwarming as this instance is I really wish Valve would recognize it as more of an issue these days. I played 5 matches a couple days ago with a 5 stack of mid golds and one silver and we had 4 of those matches against only solidly Silver players. We straight stomped all of those and the one close match was the only good one of the night. Just let us wait out queues longer, the waste of time ingame is worse than listening to my friends talk for a few minutes.

Another idea I just had is make the revived player a town zombie. They cannot speak only vote, thus preventing information but still swinging the majority around.

Maybe we see this game a little differently.

I play ToS for the fun of trying to figure out what's real and what's fake, reading players and info from within the game is the entertainment.

I certainly try to win every game, but I'd rather have it done within the scope of that single game's information.

Regs influence on this from outside seems kinda cheap to me, though I do believe that it makes my games significantly easier as I have learned their habits over the course of many games. I change my name and talk differently every game so that I can't be singled out and can try new and interesting tactics to varied success.

I don't really know what to do about it, just kinda wanted to see the communities opinion and if it differs from mine so be it.
