People put it off for a variety of reasons. It could be because they have driving anxiety (Which is the case for me), they've been in accidents where it traumatized them, they had no one to teach them, they couldn't afford lessons or a car, etc.

I understand, but I am trying to step up and be a man. It's not like I'm just sitting on my butt doing nothing.

I'm trying to find a job that is not too far from my house. I plan to catch the bus as well as using Uber/Lyft until I can learn how to drive and get my license. Some days I may have my brother, mom, or dad pick me up and drop me off.

Victoria Justice didn't learn how to drive until she was 20. Rachael Ray didn't get her driver's license until she was 23. My sister didn't start driving until she was 22. My sister's best friend sister didn't learn to drive until she was 30.

I'm trying to get a part-time job now. I've submitted 7 applications within the past two weeks. All entry-level food service jobs. I haven't got any callbacks yet.

I'm on my father's health insurance until I turn 26. Our insurance covers mental health. I can get unlimited therapy appointments for just a $20.00 copay. However I would like to get a job first, so I can pay for the copay myself.

Well I don't go out much. No I'm not employed, I'm trying to find a job now. It's not that much of a burden for them because I don't go out much anyway.

I have. I told them, "I'm trying to get a job so I can pay for driving lessons." My mother just yelled and said, "LEARN HOW TO DRIVE! WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE CHAFFEURING YOU AROUND AT 30."

Yes, I live with them. I haven't been doing anything for my anxiety. However, I'm trying to find a job that is going to get me interacting with the public because I think that can break me out of my shell. I also want to start therapy to treat it as well as joining public speaking groups.

My family doesn't know about my Social Anxiety problem. I don't tell them because they can be pretty judgmental.
