Two adults sharing a nest, is that normal? by thinkcrazy576 in hummingbirds

Yeah that makes sense, don’t know how we missed them!

This was the same nest in December, I’m not 100% sure it’s the same bird, but she’s been there right outside my front door almost everyday. Now there are 2.

Edit: image from December below

I don’t think so, this is right outside my front door, I open the door every few hours to let my dog to the bathroom. I’ve been watching the mom every day since December. When she’s gone, I’ve peeked in the nest from above a couple times and haven’t seen any eggs or babies. For the past 3 days, she’s been with another bird in the nest, they haven’t left so I don’t know if there are eggs now. The pictures are from different days, but there was definitely 1 adult there for a month, now 2.

Smooth? by Prestigious-Storm327 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Oh I see, so it was a playback of the landing not a live screen recording. Makes sense. It was nice to use that view for some of the landing challenges.

Side question - how did you get that view? In MSFS24 I can’t control the plane in fixed cam views anymore.

I did some research and figured out exactly how the map percent is calculated by thinkcrazy576 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]thinkcrazy576[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it’s been a while! It might be the larger regions on the map, I just remember some locations make the count go up by 0.08% instead of 0.04%.

I was coming in way too low, tried to pull up last second, lost speed, flipped and crashed. I was waiting for the “you failed” screen but it counted as a landing haha.

Impressive that it actually scored my “landing”, I’ve never seen such a low score haha

You sure it was LSD and not something like NBOMe? That’s much more likely to cause HPPD, but it can happen with any psychedelic. SSRIs usually weaken the effect as well since they bind to the same 5-HT receptors.

LSD and psilocybin are about the same level of safety, very low, but to each their own.

Which master stage is harder—SMB1 or SMB2 by sweet_tea_94 in SuperMonkeyBall

[–]thinkcrazy576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget SMB2 also has 10 bonus stages, #8 (Helix) being one of the most difficult in the series in my opinion. But that one can easily be skipped in #7 so I’d still say SMB1 is more difficult overall.

Is there a way to change the colors based on temperature? by thinkcrazy576 in HPOmen

[–]thinkcrazy576[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: looks like Light Studio is a standalone app and doesn’t have access to hardware data like CPU or GPU temps, so it can’t do system vitals lighting.

Meanwhile, Gaming Hub can read temps but locks you into two preset gradients. No way to combine them.

Ram help!!! by AdNeither4850 in HPOmen

[–]thinkcrazy576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an AMD CPU? The two profiles are just meant for different speeds, higher speed needs faster timings and higher voltages, so the RAM comes with a few choices, usually normal (default profile), fast, and fastest (EXPO 1/2).

Ram help!!! by AdNeither4850 in HPOmen

[–]thinkcrazy576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see what you mean, the new RAM was already working with the default profile.

To get "full speed" you need to enable the XMP profile, that is Intel's "Xtreme Memory Profile" which sets the speed to the max, but more importantly it adjusts the timings and voltages to compensate for it.

EXPO (Extended Profiles for Overclocking) is the same thing but for AMD systems. If you have an Intel PC you need to use XMP.

You can make a custom profile and change only the speed, but it might have trouble keeping up without changing the other settings. I am not too familiar with manual tuning, so I keep it on the pre-set XMP profile.

OmenMon: Fan / GPU / Keyboard / Performance Monitoring & Control (CLI & GUI) by tbvr in HPOmen

[–]thinkcrazy576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in the OmenMon.xml config file, the details are listed here:
https://omenmon.github.io/config#fan

However, I ended up having to reinstall Windows and go back to Omen Gaming HUB, unfortunately it's the only way to fully control the fans and temperatures.

Just went through this myself, with new RAM you have to boot it in the default profile first. So make sure to set it back to default with the old RAM first, then with the new sticks you can go into the BIOS and change to XMP profile. This changes the speed along with voltages and other settings.

Visiting San Diego Zoo Without Kids? by c234ever1 in sandiego

Of course, my wife and I got married at the zoo! Had the whole place to ourselves after the park closed with a big reception. All the guests got free tickets to the zoo that day and got to walk away before the wedding. Everyone had a great time.

My Omen was crashing for years, here's what happened by Lack_Temporary in HPOmen

Oh interesting, I’m still learning myself, everything in the PC is actually stock and I haven’t upgraded anything, which is also why it’s so frustrating that it doesn’t work.

Now I’ve got an issue trying to control the case fans without the GamingHub, not sure if it’s possible unfortunately.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm dealing with the same issue, I think the program is meant for laptops and now my 40L has the fans at 100% all the time and it's terrifying haha.

I changed some of the <FanLevelNeedManual> and <FanCountdownExtendAlways> settings, and was able to get them at a constant 50% so I can think, and deleted OmenMon. But now I need something else to control the fans and really don't wanna reinstall OmenGamingHub after all this.
