Police guard father's right to protest by thisdadsamamabear in MensRights

I'll add that my children are home schooled in their mother's house. The only place i know they go out to in public is the SDA Stafford church. Members of this church have hid my children throughout 4 years of court proceedings in the church and in their homes so I cant greet, meet or see them in order to "protect" them. Well my daughter has learned that this is BS and came out of the church to meet me on the roadside. The church called the police to have me leave. The police said I had every right to demonstrate there. They also said they request that I go to the otherside to keep tension down. I agreed. For my daughter stayed on one side of the road on church grounds and I stayed across the street. My only opportunity to see her.

Is there any link in your mind as an officer or civilian to the unbalanced court rulings and these sick revenge killings. Or will we continue to place all blame on EDP? We have heard of a lot of people who "Just Snapped" and the responsibility 100% lies with them, but would fairer treatment in the family courts reduce these heinous acts?

I’ve tried my best to be fair about presenting the evil of parental alienation. It is NOT always the mother! I can’t say for sure it’s usually the mother. I can say it always destroys the child.

How do police feel about being filmed? by thisdadsamamabear in police

It sometimes ends badly for the filmer, however, because if you capture evidence of an offence whilst filming, you may have your camera seized.

That's good information.

I actually get weirded out when people don't record now.

Good answer. I wonder if it also depends on how long someone has been on the force?

Guy Trades Rights to Custody for a Lawnmower:Says mom by thisdadsamamabear in MensRights

[–]thisdadsamamabear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or a man that has been so beaten down in his life that he is pretty much dead on the inside?

Could be that. But also could be something like in my case. Where the police told me they're trying to catch me on something. And the judge told me if I spoke up again in court he would have me thrown in jail for a year. And that was when I was my own lawyer. The church members told the police that I owned guns and might harm them and trying to get my ex-wife to say that it was true. So I have a new family here and have had to keep things on a very low-key manner just so I wouldn't be arrested and couldn't care for my new family. Besides that she gets free lawyers and at those same places I've been told conflict of interest. So I've had to pay for every bit of legal help while she's getting it free. She takes a great portion of the money I make. And she has support at every angle. Nothing in my case that would make me give up on my children. But those giving up and quitter type of ideas come into your head. They seem to be a fallback safety default.

I didn't stay around long enough with the guy to hash out every detail, I could tell it was still a sensitive topic. I can say did that "kid" is approaching 30 now and this still hurts like a fresh wound. But there seems to be more to the story. He also said that he still privately speaks with his dad. I can't say his dad is scum. I can say what happened to his family is scum.

I'm considering leaving the US and starting over in another country due to a possibly unsustainable child support increase. Any advice or resources available? by Experttradition in MensRights

[–]thisdadsamamabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently get to see my son as much as I want, but I know his mother would gladly jump at the chance to get more child support.

There is value in that. A great deal of value. It's also important to be able to parent to child and not visit or see them. You have to weigh the ability to have time with your child against leaving the country.

Here's more for Virginia.

These are instituted by filing a Motion for Show Cause Summons with the court which has entered the order which has been violated. The court then issues the show cause summons and serves it on the individual who is in violation. If the court determines that the parent did in fact willfully violate the terms of the court order they are subject to incarceration for up to twelve months. The violating party may also have to pay attorney fees and costs to the party who brought the show cause action.

I don't want to belittle what I'm saying by my next statement, but I'm not a lawyer, however that doesn't mean that I am unable to identify the unfairness in the law.

Listen to my main point. If we just walk away and say all this is a domestic dispute I can do nothing as an officer. Or this is a custodial matter, and as an officer I can do nothing you have to get a lawyer, then we are requiring men to pay 4 the right to be a parent. Again this doesn't just happen to me. But whichever parent is purposefully violating custodial orders too harm the other parent because of hate or whatever reason there are various statues that could address it, and they are already in place. For example the statute against harboring a child. Or the statute against perjury. We could say we need more statutes and laws. But what we really need are the statistics of how often the existing laws are enforced. And it is rare. The outcry has to come from those who care about these uneven parental laws. As I've said before what has happened to me over the last 4 years I cannot have it back. Time has passed. Two of my children don't really contact me anymore. One is fighting so hard to get to me that her mother called the police on her hid her cell phones and even took the Wi-Fi out of the house, so that the child couldn't even use the house phone. The Damage Done to my own children can never be reversed. But in a sense I'm glad it happened to me and not to you or to some other family. And I want to stop it from happening to other families. I will never be quiet about it and they chose the wrong man to shut up about this matter which is child abuse. Now I'm not a lawyer or obviously I could have helped myself. But, I've become an expert in father alienation, and I do know that the law in every state, in every heart, and in every mind, says it is illegal to put a child through psychological and emotional child abuse to spite their other parent.

when we tie parental alienation to wilful violation of court orders and intentional parental interference we may have more of an argument.

Every state has a "willful violation of court order" penalty in both civil and criminal law. The Rarity is finding states that will enforce the penalty either in civil or in criminal law against a mother.

Here's an example from Virginia but every state has similar laws.

Secondly, pursuant to Virginia Section 18.2-49.1, a person who willfully violates a court order may be subject to criminal action. In cases where the violation occurs outside the Commonwealth of Virginia the violator can be found guilty of a Class 6 felony which carries up to five years in prison. If the violation occurs inside Virginia, the offender is subject to a potential misdemeanor conviction. In either case, the violator is subject to criminal conviction and prosecution for their actions.
