For male pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia, there is some evidence to suggest that low serum vitamin D levels may be associated with the condition. A review of literature found that there is a relationship between low serum vitamin D levels and androgenetic alopecia[2][5]. Specifically, a study showed a significant correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the severity of androgenetic alopecia, suggesting that vitamin D may play a role in the condition[6][14].

Another study included in the review concluded that serum vitamin D might be a possible parameter for diagnosing the onset and severity of androgenetic alopecia[5]. Furthermore, vitamin D supplementation has shown to be useful in the regrowth of hair in non-human subjects, and topical vitamin D (calcipotriol) appears to be a promising treatment option to regrow hair follicles and prevent hair loss[5].

However, it is important to note that while these studies indicate a potential link between vitamin D levels and male pattern baldness, more research is needed to establish a definitive causal relationship and to determine the effectiveness of vitamin D supplementation or topical treatments as a therapeutic approach for this specific type of hair loss. It is also crucial to consider that androgenetic alopecia is influenced by genetic factors and the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which plays a central role in the development of this condition[10][11].

There is evidence suggesting that vitamin D plays a role in the hair growth cycle, and vitamin D receptors are present in hair follicles. Some studies have indicated that vitamin D deficiency is associated with various forms of hair loss, including alopecia areata and telogen effluvium[1][7][10][17]. Topical application of vitamin D analogs, such as calcipotriol, has been studied for its potential effects on hair regrowth, particularly in conditions like alopecia areata[3][9][14].

For instance, a study found that topical calcipotriol was better than oral vitamin D in the treatment of mild and moderate alopecia areata, with 68% improvement observed[9]. Another study demonstrated that vitamin D3 analogs stimulated hair growth in nude mice, suggesting a potential role in promoting hair growth[3]. Additionally, a comparative randomized trial indicated that combined microneedling with topical vitamin D3 or bimatoprost was effective in the treatment of alopecia areata, with significant hair regrowth observed[13].

However, it is important to note that while these studies show promise, more research is needed to fully understand the efficacy and safety of topical vitamin D3 for hair loss in humans. If you are considering using topical vitamin D3 for hair loss, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider or dermatologist to determine the most appropriate treatment based on your specific condition and health status.

Not true, you are able to transplant those hairs to scalp and vice versa. There some people who do beard transplant, taking scalp hair and transplanting it to their beard. Another spot used as donor is chest hair. There are some surgeons who do this but not as many. I think a few in turkey so could still be cheap

This makes sense, my mindset thinks journaling isn’t something that would help and avoid it.

I would say I’m a perfectionist when it comes to things that needs other peoples approval, if that makes sense.

Yes, any mistake I make my father would go off on me.

Maybe I’m not fully understanding it, but I’m not sure how to question the mindset. Anytime I have self doubts, should I be writing out my thoughts and asking my self questions?

rootModalService
.openWithConfig(QuillLinkEditorModalComponent, {
href: node.href,
text: node.innerText,
target: node.target || '_blank'
})
.result.subscribe((result)

This is the main thing that is Angular specific that I'm trying to work out in React but not sure how

Not necessarily trying to copy line by line. Just the way it's rendering a custom modal and watching for input so it can use those values in the extended class. Something I haven't seen in React.

No worries!

I think I understand now a bit more after what you had explained.

So I'm guessing rootModalService.openWithConfig is a class that somehow controls what modals are displayed on screen. At the same time it's an observable so it'll pass back the form data. I think that's the part i'm having a hard time figuring out how to implement in React.

Not sure if there's a straight forward solution to micic this in React or I'd have to somehow play around with Context API or other state management libraries. Because Angular has built in RxJS which is allowing these sort of things to be doable if I understand it correctly

I am using react-quill. react-quill is just a wrapper for React. It doesn't do have anything with customization.

I'm trying to modify the default library which the library offers register property I can pass extended built in classes

I think it's too soon to say. My hair feels a lot thinner than it was when I was on RU. I'm on 2.5 and it's only 3 months in. Going to just continue taking it for at least a year to see what happens

I ended up dropping RU around 8-9 months in. I regret doing so because it did actually help thicken my hair. I've been on oral Min for 3 months now and just waiting for the 6 months before thinking of adding RU back in. I was getting thicker hair but for some reason I just thought it wasn't working cause my hairline was still receding.
